We tried a number of bottles with our baby who had a difficult time maintaining a "latch" because of a short frenulum. The shape and softness of this nipple worked the best for her. With other nipples, she had a much harder time getting enough milk out.

Comments about BPA Free Natural Flow Baby bottle - 8 oz - 3 pk:

I used these bottles with my oldest after I went back to work. I used them with breast milk, Similac Sensitive, and with whole cow's milk.

My primary reason for purchasing these is that I'm a stalwart proponent of buying products made in the USA, Canada or EU. Dr. Brown's bottles are made in the USA - or at least they were when I used them. The runner up was the Avent system, which is made in England. My son was not colicky and did not have issued with gas.

Overall, these are great bottles. They're well made, and definitely appear to reduce gas. When formula feeding, I used the formula pitcher, which is unfortunately made in China. But, it did the job of mixing formula well. I filled the bottles in advance and used the travel caps when we needed to go somehwere, or I used premixed formula.

The bottles are a pain to clean, but good grief, it's not that hard. Occasionally the tan part needed some soaking in a dilute vinegar and water solution to break up the solids that deposited, but I admit I wasn't the most stalwart dish washer on the planet. I never had mold or mildew growth, but I've always hand washed the bottles. I never had any problem seeing the volume on the site of the bottle either.

I have never had a bottle leak due to anything other than user error. They're not hard to put together if you follow the directions and you cannot fill them past the fill line. Really, you can't. Then they leak.

The bottles fit well with the Medela and Ameda breast pump systems, which is defintitely a pro. Even though my second baby doesn't prefer these bottles, I will definitely reuse them for breast milk storage.

Selecting a bottle is as individual as the baby they're feeding, and not all bottles will be the best choice for all babies. My second child prefers the Avent bottles, and that's ok. Even though I prefer to choose products that put Americans to work, the best American made product isn't worth squat if it makes your baby sick. This is a good choice for most babies, and a more socially responsible one as well. Happy feeding!

Comments about BPA Free Natural Flow Baby bottle - 8 oz - 3 pk:

Let me start by saying I never thought I would be bottle feeding my daughter. That is until she had her own agenda and at 7 weeks weaned herself. We were stuck trying to shop for bottles at the last minute and we had heard a lot about Dr. Brown's being the best for breastfed babies. That being said, they come with the level 1 nipples (even the 4oz set). If your infant has previously been breastfed, make sure to also purchase the preemie nipples. You will use the Level 1s that are included at a later time, but they are just too fast for a breastfed baby. It is a little hard to get used to all of the parts, but they are all ok in the dishwasher. So if anything, save yourself the effort and buy a few sets, so that you can always have some on standby while the others are in the dishwasher. I still run my dishwasher once a day though. But it beats spending all that time at the kitchen sink doing dishes.

I have had some issues with the 4oz bottles leaking though. I haven't yet gone to the website to look for suggestions on rectifying the problem, but I'm sure there is something we could try to prevent that from happening.

Also to note: when using a bottle warmer (we have the Dr. Brown's version), remember to take out the vent and "straw". Otherwise it tends to leak everywhere. It does clearly state that in the instruction booklet of the warmer though too.

Luckily my son liked this bottle right away because he is gassy and these really seem to help. I do breastfeed but my husband has been bottle feeding him at night since we came home from the hospital and we have no problems with rejection.

Not sure why people like Dr Brown bottles. They leak, there are too many parts to clean, the side with the measurments is too difficult to read. WhatI have learned is that ALL babies will have gas and NO one bottle will prevent that. So go with the simplest and easiest bottle.

The playtex vent aire are also a pain for the same reasons as the Dr. Browns.

My favorites are Medela, First Essentials, and Evenflo. They are simple to use, easy to clean and no leaks!!

I recently switched to Dr Browns bottles at the reccomendation of my friend. I was using the Medela bottle/nippes that came with my breast pump and my baby had a ton of trapped gas.

Whatever the science is... it works. While my 10 week baby still tries to chug down his daily bottle his gas is much more controlled (still have to burp him once or twice).

The major downside is all the parts to the bottle- it makes cleaning them a pain in the butt- but worth it for me!

Comments about BPA Free Natural Flow Baby bottle - 8 oz - 3 pk:

Absolutely amazing bottles! I got a three set for my baby shower and I was convinced that I was only going to use drop-ins because I have experience with them from babysitting for years and I really liked them.. Until my son started sucking down his bottles so fast he would make himself sick. I forgot I had them honestly and I used them and next paycheck I am for sure asking my husband if we can invest in some more of them. There are a lot of pieces but it is worth it for sure!! I have never had any leaks with it, making formula in the bottle is not an option though but I have mixing bottles just from the drop-ins so that was not an extra step for me. I must say if you have a dishwasher then washing them is extremely easy if you put them in the bottle wrack plastic things from [@]. Just take the top white part off and put the blue pointy thing from the bottle vertical and stand it up.. They clean great!!! Worth the work for sure, I would recommend these to any person. Oh one more thing, I do wish that the numbers on the side were black, but a Sharpie did the trick..

Too popular. I thought these would be the best. They're just not. Nipples too fast, lots of gas. I can't mix water and powder in the bottle or it leaks like crazy. Hard to wash I always worry about soap and other stuff in the vent. Not up to all the hype.

Comments about BPA Free Natural Flow Baby bottle - 8 oz - 3 pk:

i have these bottles and the wide neck bottles.. i don't really like these bottles but my boy really likes the nipples

i can't stand cleaning these bottles. i feel that as a busy mom with sooo much to do, cleaning these bottles is a major inconvenience especially since a dishwasher couldn't get ALL the tiny crevices in the parts that are included with this bottle

i don't understand why these bottles don't leak when my son is using them but when i shake up the formula in the bottle or it's been laying on it's side it leaks like crazy.. the manufacturer really has to do something about this because it's so annoying. premixing in a separate container is a pain and i don't like making formula in advance because i don't like reheating it

                some pros are:

the nipples are great they're very soft so that they form perfectly in the baby's mouth.. so what i do is i get a regular bottle and use the dr brown's nipple.. I DON'T CARE IF YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO.

the wide neck bottles are nice for travel because it's easy to dump formula in it

over all i wouldn't recommend these bottles based on the difficulty of washing them and the leakage and for my next child i won't be using them

TRUST ME ON THESE BOTTLES they work WONDERS!
