I first let my son watch this when he was around 4 months old during a particularly fussy evening! He immediately quit crying and was totally captivated by all of the animal images. I love the fact it doesn't have lots of cartoonish images but actual animal footage with some puppets mixed in. It is both soothing and entertaining-at almost 11 months he still enjoys this DVD! He loves animals, and also enjoys Neptune's Ocean and Animals Around Us as well.

We bought this for my 16 month old's first flight. We have 2 others that we like MacDonald and First Sounds. This one has puppets that laugh at each other when they make mistakes and fight over a pillow that ends with the puppets ripping it apart. I don't love teaching wrong to understand right. Its seems pretty advanced for what I think level 2 would be. I don't know what age range the level 2 is. The humor is sarcastic and seems to be adult like. Most of it is pretty good with more real life footage and less baby and puppet use. I could see a baby getting bored with it since it consists of animals running or moving and not much cartoon images. But the puppet segments aren't very good. I really like the cd that came with it. There are no lyrics and its soothing in the car. The card are good way to reiterate what our son is seeing on the screen.
