The bag is well made and looks sturdy enough for checking in as luggage and will last a long time. The backpack function is a little difficult to use for long periods of time as the carseat is heavy and the straps are not very comfortable. The other issue is that the carseat is very tight when you are putting it in the bag. Overall I am happy with the purchase, it will be very useful for travel.

Good quality. No more dependence on the airlines to provide a bag and no more guilt about throwing big plastic bags into the garbage.
We have not used the backpack straps.
Also, we put "fragile" tape on the outside to remind the baggage guys that the car seats should not be thrown around.
