I purchased the Diaper Dekor after our Munchkin pail kept failing. I have to say I love it! It has a child lock to keep hands out of the diaper drop area and I love the hands free foot pedal. I wish I would have had this from the beginning. Also knowing that there is the biodegradable bags to go with the diaper inserts we use is nice. We mostly use cloth and few wipes so we only empty this once a week. The Munchkin was once a day. No regrets with this purchase and my daughter is one so the #2 is not small.

It just stinks. I end up buying scented bag, before putting a diaper in this pail.
It keeps the smell in the nursery and it s so hard to clean.

I just converted it in a regular bathroom pail but the refills cannot be found at duane reade and are expensive.

I just don't understand how you can like this product.

This diaper pail works great! Really easy to use- just step on a foot pedal and much more attractive than competing brans. My sister-in-law has the Diaper Genie and that feels cheap and cumbersome relative to the Diaper Dekor. We have a cozy modern nursery and this fits in much better than other brands. I also like the biodegradable refill for our daughter's biodegradable gDiaper refills; makes sense! Easy to change out liner and we have had no issues with smell whatsoever!

I was trying to decide between a Diaper Genie and this diaper pail and I wish I had gone with the DG. The Dekor is an overpriced trash can and nothing more. It doesn't contain odors especially well and you still have to push the dirty diaper down into the can. I have real buyers remorse about this one and urge shoppers to consider their other options.

It is too small to the degree I had to change its bag everyday (my baby usually has 8-10 dipers and we still use #2 which is smaller than 3,4,5). It is a big lie and so misleading that Deckor claims you can fit 15+ dippers daily.Another big issue with this brand of Deckor, is finding its refill bag! Most stores including [@], [@]even [@] do not carry it so I have to order it online! Worst of all, it does not eliminate oder and if my baby has dirty dipper the whole nursery gets smelly! In conclusion I do not recommend it, if you must get a Deckor at least get the bigger/plus size at least it fits more dippers and you can find its refill eaisly.

Great diaper pail. Used the original diaper genie with my first born and did not care for the pushing and twisting. Just step and toss. Capacity is about 30 diapers. Nice and small so smell is almost non-existent with normal emptying.

I used a regular, open trash can until my daughter was about one, then I bought the diaper dekor so that I could hopefully stop having to double bag and empty the trash as often. And lets face it, as the baby gets bigger the diapers get more smelly. The diaper dekor, however, is not the answer. For the first 2 weeks it contained the smell in the room, UNTIL you would open it to throw a diaper away, then watch out! All the smell that was festering inside enclosed system would leak out when the flap opens and then that nauseating smell would fill the room for about 30 minutes...then repeat process when it was time to throw the next diaper away. Now I've had the system for a little over a month and the whole system smells. I haven't used it for at least a week (the bag refill ran out) and the system/plastic is still holding the smell.
I ended up emptying this unit on a daily basis, in the beginning I went 2 days but then it was full anyway...it only holds about 10 diapers - size 3. I even tried putting just urine diapers in there, but that didn't even solve the smell problem. I am going back to an open trash can with an air freshener in the bottom, because it just plain smells better than this unit and the emptying frequency is pretty much the same.
This would maybe work ok for a newborn to about 6-10 months depending on the baby's diet...because their output is less and their diapers just don't smell as bad when they are little. My only positive - the bag cutter does work really well.

nice design and the refill bags do smell good but every time we throw a # 2 diaper inside, the room smells until I finally throw the bag outside. I go through allot of the refills because of this. there must be a better system where a diaper can sit inside the receptacle a day or 2 without stinking up the room.

Absolutely Love this pail! Used to own the diaper genie but left it behind when i moved( didn't think I'd need it But woah was I wrong) Not that the diaper genie was a bad product but after seeing good reviews and the convenience of this one I was convinced to invest in this one instead... It is so easy to use...Love that you can convert it to a regular pail afterward and more importantly, yes, the bad odor is definitely undetectable. So much better than the Diaper Genie.

So easy to use! The front cover even has a bag cutter on it! You pull the bag down, cut it, tie it, tie the new "end" inside of the pail, and shut the door! No smell either because of the trap door that stays closed when you open the top with the foot pedal! :-)
