Dex Products MilkBank Vacuum Storage 5oz (3-pack)
MilkBank delivers the freshest breast milk possible, and fresh breast milk is the most nutritious for your baby. Clinical tests show that any level of oxygen exposure begins to spoil breast milk. For best nutrition, freshly pumped breast milk should be fed immediately or stored in MilkBank's vacuum-sealed storage bottles for later feeding. Traditional storage methods, such as bags and bottles, trap harmful oxygen when sealed. This exposure to oxygen not only impacts the nutritional value, but can also distort the flavor, causing babies to reject stored breast milk

Great 4 Pumping Mom & store solids 4mos+
Comments about MilkBank Vacuum Storage 5oz (3-pack):
Phthalate free, PVC free & BPA free!!!
My baby is now 9 months old and am still using!! I am very happy I purchased the whole MilkBank Vacuum Storage System, Vacuum Storage 5oz bottles, and the Insulated Feeding 5oz bottles before giving birth & practiced a trial run of storing them. Very comfortable to hold with the gripper ring that is below the nipple cap; helps with bottle slipping out of your hand like other bottles especially when you are tired and trying to feed baby. Because breastmilk has an oily/greasy feel, we wash all parts by hand even though they are dishwasher safe but it will last longer by hand. Had to go back to work full-time after 2 months. Easy to prep bottles for baby caregiver.
Great for freeze-storing "emergency bottles", which came in handy several times like when I got sick in winter or had clogged milk-ducts. I love that milk is fresher by pumping oxygen out to make it last longer in fridge (stores 3 to 8 days depending on your fridge) and freezer (up to 6 months depending on your freezer) and no freezer-burn. I prepare up to 4 days worth of milk and freeze the rest. 5oz bottles fits in those storage coolers that come with milk pumping/expressing machine package. Baby learned to hold bottle at 3.5 months old..trick is to use small boppy under baby's neck and arms and put boulder-pillows under the ends to support arms a bit and place baby's hands on bottle.
The 5oz bottles (which really fits up to 4.5oz) I now use for storing baby's solids for on-the-go, water, freezing small portions of fruits, veggies, chicken, beef, then pop them out to put in freezer bags. Very handy for heating meals on the go..just ask for hot water in a quart container or large foam cup halfway or less, and put bottle with lid still on into it. It works great!! When ready to feed at home, I mix milk with baby cereal in small glass pot, then pop a fruit, veggie and protein & heat on stove at low heat. We started using the 8oz bottles once baby started drinking over 4.5oz probably around 5 months old.
The silicone nipples are very durable and lasts long. My baby was using Stage 1 nipples for first 4 months, Stage 2 nipples after 4 months and until 8.5 months. Now we are using Stage 3 nipples. The bottles come with a straw and an end-piece, which the straw attaches to the side of nipple that helps with the milk to vent properly and reduce gas. It works great because my baby hardly has gas, which makes it faster and easier to burp compared to other Moms experiences with other bottles. It usually takes 5 to 10 minutes to feed with MilkBank bottles. You will know when your baby is ready for next nipple Stage because baby will slow down on drinking and can't finish bottle dry! Make sure you have the nipple on the cap correctly and that the cap is screwed on the bottle tight…you should not have any leaks. We use a bottle-brush that looks like this: a spongy end, soft bristles that are in the middle, and then a soft disc-shaped sponge…the nipple brush on the other end of bottle brush.
I don't know anyone that uses this & think MilkBank is not advertised well and/or given the credit that they deserve. My suggestion is to get just one of the storage system, and get few to several of the Vacuum Storage 5oz bottles, few to several of the Insulated 5oz bottles (outer cover filled with warm/hot water is great for keeping milk warm in winter so it doesn't get cold during slow feeding..once milk got cold, baby stopped drinking) and later on to get the 8oz bottles. I love these and highly recommend!!! Can't wait to use whole system for round 2!!
