Love these cannisters of Desitin. Keep one by the changing table, which is very easy to use. Use it daily at every diaper change and had great results.

Only got a diaper rash one time in 10 months, and it didn't seem to make it go away as quickly as I might have thought. However, it seems great as a preventative measure.

You can't go wrong with Desitin - when there's a nasty rash, it is always gone in a day or two. I've tried the Butt Paste and liked it, but it wasn't as effective as Desitin on rashes. Only drawback is that it's hard to scrub off your hands, sticks to clothing, and can't be used with cloth diapers.

When baby was having diaper rashes regularly, we found this product to be good at preventing diaper rashes when applied generously at every diaper change. It is also helpful to simply let baby air out without a diaper for a few minutes after a bath and a gentle towel dry.
Now that this stage has passed, we only use it when baby does get a rash, and this product heals the rash quickly.

This is the best diaper cream we have tried! The only downside is that it will dry out your fingers after applying it again and again, and if it gets on your clothes it is hard to get off!

Great product for diaper rash/yeast infections. Can be used on infants-older children(if they experience rash or irritation "down there"). Lasts til next diaper change unlike a lot of other rash creams. I bought a tub of it and it literally lasted over a year, so it's very cost efficient, especially if you are buying tube after tube of it(can get expensive). I would definitely recommend this product I myself have used it on all 3 of my children for over 17 years now and plan on using it on my baby due in 76 months.

This is the best bang for your buck when it comes to diaper cream. Why? Because it works immediately so you end up using less. The economy size is better priced. I have tried MANY other brands even other versions of desitin and the purple Original is the Very best.
The only drawback is the open tub and potential messiness if little hands or kicking feet get access. The tube is better for cleanliness, but you are still going to have to get it on your hands and will pay more for the tube. Stick with the economy tub (especially if you have more than one baby).

At first I was using this all over my baby boy's diapered area, but after skipping it a few times, I realized he is only tending to get a rash where he goes poop (couldn't use the correct term-considered profanity, lol!), so I just put it there, so I don't have to scrub him everywhere --because it is tough to get off--and makes diapers changes last too long--which the baby hates more than I do. I think my daughters, who were born 20 years ago, needed it everywhere--they had more sensitive skin. I also have A & D ointment, but it doesn't seem to do much alone. My friend said to put it on before putting on the desitin, so you can remove it more easily--may be a good idea for those more sensitive babies (she had preemies), who need full coverage. Desitin stinks, but who cares? My baby's little red butt is healed after two applications, so I reccommend it.

My daughter has a very sensitive hiney, she gets diaper rashes that go from normal to bleeding in a matter of hours. This product, combined with an anti-fungal and hydrocortizone, and an overnight diaper clears it up by morning! I've tried many diaper creams (even the more expensive ones) and nothing comes close to healing her up as quickly.

I have tried Balmex, Butt Paste, Desitin Creamy and original and by far what I have found to work the best is Desitin Original.

In addition, if you have REALLY bad diaper rash, the best solution is a layer of 1% hydrocortozone cream, then a layer of A&D, then a layer of Desitin. Clears the WORST rash up in minutes. A nurse told me about it and she was right.
