I use the product mainly after baths and before bedtime to reduce the diaper rash symptoms. A little bit goes a long way.
It does tend to clump when used with powder on occasion.

I am a mix between a bargain and brand shopper, and this product is one I refuse to cut corners on. My 13-month-old has diaper rash often as she is getting used to new foods, and this clears it right up after just one use. It's better than any other diaper cream I've tried, and I've tried a LOT.

I got this cream at my baby shower and had always heard how wonderful Desitin was. The first (and still only) diaper rash my baby had was when he had to take antibiotics. He screamed when I applied this cream. I guess it was stinging or burning his bum. After I wiped it off and he calmed down, I used some Boudreaux's Buttpaste and it was much better. I'm not sure if the Desitin works to clear diaper rash, we didn't give it another try. I'm sure some babies can use it, just not mine.

We have used this on our 12-week-old since she was born and she has never a day of diaper rash in her life. In fact, her pediatrician has told us her skin looks fantastic -- she even asked us what brand we use. It is a little hard to get off our hands (we use an extra wipe to clean ourselves up), but it works so well we don't mind. Would absolutely recommend this to friends.

I was using an Aveeno diaper rash cream which was working wonderfully. I tried this cream on my baby twice, and even though she did not have any signs of a rash at the time, she screamed as if it was burning her sensitive skin. I should have listened to previous reviewers in that this may not be the best product to use if your baby has sensitive skin. I have resumed use of the Aveeno and will continue using since it appears to be much gentler. It is not as easy to apply as the creamy formula, but it is a small price to pay for the comfort of my little one.

I used this this when my Grandson had a severe diaper rash...it worked better than other popular brands that I tried. Nothing but Desitin from now on.
