We bought this humidifier over a year ago. The design is nice, it's quiet, and it produces cool mist well. It's construction however is lacking. It has started to leak out the vent in the bottom all over my son's dresser. It was good for the first year though and not a bad price. I just wish it would last longer than a year.

We use this in our daughter's bedroom in the drier seasons. I recommend placing it on a piece of furniture and not on the floor for best moisture dispersal. I had it on the floor at first and even on the lower setting the moisture accumulated on the floor. Now it's on the nightstand and it works great.

I gave it 4 stars because the lip of the basin is a little flimsy and I chipped it when replacing the tank. Largely my fault, but it seems the lip should be able to withstand the weight a full tank.

All in all I'm happy with the product.
