Crane has cute designs, and that's why I purchased another; the first one lasted for about a year, but had some corrosion issues. Anyway, I hoped this newer/updated model would last longer than the first, but it barely ran for 3 months. Contacted Crane and they told me it was designed to turn off the vaporizer, but the motor will keep running. On the prior version, when the water got too low, the unit turned off. We are at the point where the motor now makes a constant horrid noise; it's certainly not whisper quiet! I will be buying something else this time, since Crane doesn't seem to want to support this failing unit. Disappointed.

So very easy to assemble, and the kids love the dragon shape. It's so quiet, until the water runs low, but that is ok, it helps remind this busy mom to refill. I like that you can use it with or with out a filter. So far this lil dragon has helped turn our dry home into a comfortable place.

We have had the Crane cool mist humidifier in the frog style for our 2 1/2yr old since he was born and it's still running strong! We just bought the dragon one for the baby we are expecting in 3 weeks. Have never had a problem with and it runs day and night all winter. We only use it in the spring/summer/fall if he has a cold. We have really hard water so it is a little hard to clean the calcified water off of the inside parts, but it doesn't harm the way the product works. Highly recommend!
