We bought this for my son his first dry East Coast winter, mainly because it was just so cute. I works great, although we did notice little wetness on the floor around it if we left is cranked all the way up all night long. 3/4 of the max setting works just great.

Then we got a humidifier for our room (hubby was too manly frog in the grown-ups room ;) . It was super noisy and didn't produce a lot of mist, and took up a lot of room, and it cost more than the frog humidifier had. So we tried a 2nd "grown-up" humidifier that cost at least twice what the frog did, but it was noisy, too, and was really just a pool of evaporating water. So mommy just dealt with the noise.

Well, this winter, the old frog finally gave out (my son will turn 3 this winter, so the frog has lasted at least 2 winters being used all night every night, and some days when we forgot to turn it off). It has survived a precocious toddler toppling it over multiple times, and while I could hear some parts clanging around in there it still kept working great. It still works but is finally starting to smell a little musty, and with the loose parts inside we decided to buy a new one this winter.

I'm really impressed with our new frog humidifier! The adjustment is even more adjustable! Only used it one night so far, but we might buy one for mommy's room soon.

The product is great when it works but the water float stopped working once it was taken apart to clean. I used to be able to get it to work and now it does not put out any mist at all. What a waste of money once I discovered that when my child was sick. I do not recommend this product

Under the penguins head is a plastic handle to pickup the body with. The handle is ok but the plastic it is attached to is very thin and cracked when lifting the body full of water. After the crack appeared at the top the water would leak out the base, we think it holds the water in using pressure.

We also have the elephant, it has much sturdier plastic.

This thing leaks like crazy if it is turned to any setting other than the lowest setting possible. I am looking for a replacement or else I am going to end up with ruined furniture.

We ordered the duck for my daughter's nursery when the red cross humidifier proved to be no better than an open pan of evaporating water. We have a similar (but less cute) humidifier from a different company that works quite well for us but preferred getting one that was bpA free for the nursery.

Unfortunately, even with the add-on hard water cartridge and a home water softener system, this humidifier spews white mineral dust to the extent that it looks like the house is full of smoke after running for several hours. I'd avoid these humidifiers if you have hard water.

We bought the Frog one 2 weeks ago from a different retailer (buy it here though, it's cheaper on Diapers.com), and we really love it! It works great. It is quiet. It is easy to clean if you follow the manufacturer's instructions. All you have to do is put a little bleach in the water container and then rinse it out a couple times. EASY! Great product. We'll buy another one for our next child I'm sure.

I bought this humidifier when my son got a stuffy nose. I thought it was cute and simple design, which to me meant fewer things that could break on it.

It was quiet. It worked well. We had it on non stop while my son was sick and I could tell a difference in the air for sure. It even helped with my dry skin. I know it helped him at night when he had the hardest time breathing.

The manual recommended using bleach to clean it but I think that's too toxic. I followed the instructions to clean it but used white vinegar instead. Seemed to work great.

So cute and it works really well. Is very quiet, and runs for a long time. Easy to fill and clean. We use it every night.

My daughter gets congested often so my doctor recommended getting a humidifier. I would up feel like this one did more harm than good. I wash it really well with boiling water and soap every time I fill it and it still smells like mold whenever it's on. I would recommend paying the extra money and getting the waterless or purifying humidifier instead. In the long run it's worth it.

Worked for one use. Upon second use, cut off after approximately 5 minutes of running. Continued to cut off after five minutes or so following turning it off and back on. Attempted to clean the water float as manual suggested for this problem, but it did not work. Sad I spent [$] on this product. Not worth it for sure!

the product is very cute, but after setting it up and reading the instructions, i learned that it cannot be used on carpet and i did not have an acceptable surface to use it on.

I love how cute and quiet this is, but we had one issue that seems to be very common. The auto shut off is very sensitive. After about 10 minutes of use, the light turns red, the nebulizer shuts down and no mist is produced. I rigged it by propping it backwards a few degrees until I called Crane directly. They immediately sent a new tank cap that has a spring in it which is different from the original cap and it has run properly ever since. My daughter sleeps much better with this, but the shut off issue would have been an obvious deal breaker had Crane not been so quick to send a new part.

This humidifier made a dripping noise regardless of the setting level. (The instruction manual says that there may be a dripping noise at the highest setting.) We also tried using this with and without the filter, and the dripping noise was always present. It was so annoying to hear water dripping all night long! We returned the item.
