It both fits and works perfectly. Before we bought this, the mist of the humidifier was visible as a fine white mist because of the minerals. Now it runs and we can't see it. It was easy to install and fits perfectly in the crane drop humidifier that I also bought here.

The filter fits fine. I have been using it for months and now need a replacement. I clean the humidifier regularly with vinegar to keep it running smoothly and have never had a problem seating the filter. Unforutnately, because the filter uses activated carbon beads to clean the water it retains the vinegar smell after cleaning, but that would be my only complaint with it.

I bought this to use with my new drop shape humidifier I also ordered from diapers.com only to receive it and figure out that it does not fit the newer drop shape models. Save the headache and hassle...don't buy this one! More detailed reviews of this product are also available online.
