We've tried a few different cold mist humidifiers and like this brand best for the kids room. Cute, of course, but also whisper quiet and easy to clean. The only con is that the reservoir plastic can break somewhat easily. We accidentally let it slip in sink while cleaning and it made a huge crack. But we've been really happy otherwise so purchased again.

we got the cow, it works great, but it's difficult to find a good spot for it since the mist comes out of both ears. it would have been better for us to get a design where the mist just comes out of the front or goes vertical.
