Easy to use right out of the box. I have only had it for a week so cannot comment on durability. For those who made "hard to clean" comments, cool mist units need to be flushed & cleaned (and dry the base) every few days. If you have hard water, distilled water is a must or you will get mineral build up and white spots from the mist. Very happy with it so far as it performs as advertised with minimal work.

We set this according to the manufacturer's recommendations. It did not raise the humidity at all in our daughter's 160 square foot room.

The only thing that I am not happy about is that every time when I take out the tank to fill it up it drips all over the floor. Maybe I just have to figure it out. I only used it for 3 night so far.

we like this humidifier a lot. it's effective and quiet. it also looks very pretty. as with any humidifier, you have to be careful where you put it so you don't ruin your furniture with the water. my only complaint is that it is difficult to fill. there is no handle so you kind of have to wrap your arms around it. plus when you take it off the base after using, it drips everywhere so have a towel ready. don't know that it's worth the money if i had it to do over, however i like it enough that i would not return it and we will continue using it.

Was so excited to receive this item, because other really like it. Was great for the first month. Now it is so hard to clean, and once you get anything growing in any crevices, so hard to get into all the nooks to get them out. I used it for 2 months now, and I think I have to put it in the trash and go back to my Vicks. That one wasn't great, but at least I could clean it a lot easier. That gives me piece of mind.

Love this humidifier! We bought it for our toddler's room to help with the dry air. It is very quiet and does a great job. Do not recommend purchasing the filter with it--the suggested filter does not actually fit and we had to return it.

Best humidifier ever!!! The mist can be level and the upper cone makes the vapor easy to reach the person. I have it in my sons nursery and on the first day his cold improved.

the unit is quiet compared to most humidifiers, but not as quiet as an old model of Vicks ultrasonic unit that I have. Also, the humming noise is a bit annyoing as it alternates between two picthes, preventing me from falling asleep. I also have a frog unit as well as a pig unit. Although they also make a humming noise, there is only one pitch, which is easy to get used to. Anyway, maybe it's problem with just this particular unit, but I am returning it and keeping the other one.

I really like this. It is much quieter than our old one (using in the nursery). Sometimes though I think the white-noise of the old one was nice. This one is very quiet. Works great though!

This product works perfect for the winter dry heat in the bedroom. It's extremely quiet. I am not a night light person, but the light does not keep me from sleeping. It shuts off once it is out of water. Use the distilled water, it helps keep it clean. I like the product. Would buy for other rooms or give as a gift to moms to be.

I bought this product in addition to another humidifier I have. That humidifier is not nearly as quiet as this one is. Very stylish and goes great in my son's nursery. Thinking about buying another one to replace the Vicks humidifier I have.

I have been using humidifers since my son was born three years ago. We've tried various makes and for us Crane is by far the best. Many humidifers are not large enough to pump out an adaquate amount of steam and last the whole night. I find using an a/c very drying and running a humidifier per room while it's on combats this problem. I also feel that they help to prevent illness (dry nasal passages etc are more suseptable to allowing germs /bacteria to take hold in your body) & assist if you have a cold. This particular Crane was bought to replace a small unit I used in my bedroom. I love the fact it has no night light, very distracting for me as I have it on my bedside table. It's a basic simple design and will be easy to keep clean. I use white vinigar once a week to clean and reduce build up of hard water scale. (I also use a protec antimicrobial cartridge in each machine) The unit is very quiet and you can control the flow of steam as you prefer. Very pleased with this one.

After reading reviews, I chose this humidifier to use in my 4 month old's room b/c it's very dry. It is almost totally silent when operating, and the output of mist is adjustable. I keep it at about 1/2 or 3/4 power and it lasts all night, with water left over. I would definitely suggest this product.

I use this product everyday. It is easy to fill and set up. You can see the mist being emitted into the air. The only "problem" is that I wish it held more water. Also, if the setting is too high, it will cause condensation on the humidifier and surrounding areas. Otherwise, I LOVE this product!
