Durable and lightweight, it folds up to the size of a small briefcase. To use, simply pull the recessed grips to open, slide the sides down, and lock into place. Lift up the seat, insert a resealable gallon-sized storage bag over the lid, and then close the seat to lock the bag in place. Comments about Travel Potty:

We absolutely love this potty. I have to admit it was challenging to open the side compartments at first but that was a user error. We wanted to use muscle instead of our minds. We tried pulling it open but it is as simple as pressing on the grooved area and the top almost pops up. Super simple! I can't recall if that information was in the instructions but if not, it should be. Besides that, it's the best thing ever. We use it everywhere from home to the mall. And honestly, it is really discrete. We have used it in a corner at a crowded birthday party and I just stood in front of my daughter to block her. This potty is my new favorite baby shower gift.

          Comments about Travel Potty:

This is a great product for girls possibly. However we have a boy and this product was not designed with boys learning how to pee sitting down. There is no room for the boy to pee and it ends up getting all over the place. If maybe they made this in an oval shape versus a round shape for boys, it might work a whole lot better.

OMG!!!! Love this travel potty. We have an SUV and its perfect for the back. I don't know what I would do without it. When your potty training, you don't want to go looking all over for a bathroom. Before we go into a store, I get my daughter out, she goes in the potty in the back and we are good to go...also, you don't have to worry about germs of other bathrooms. You cannot be without this!! Its so easy, pop a gallon size zip lock bag and your good...no clean up, no mess.

              Comments about Travel Potty:

I started using this potty after my elder daughter was toilet trained. It soon became indispensable and went everywhere with my daughters and me--the park, restaurants, etc. It was especially handy when we had to stop somewhere on a highway during to nature's call. I did not have to worry about the availability of toilets or the cleanliness of the public toilets. That was at least 12 years ago. Now my nephew and his wife are expecting a baby. The one thing I thought of first was this travel potty.
To use discreetly, I loosely lined the inside of a ziploc bag with a paper towel before use.

My son found a different brand portable potty to be uncomfortable, so we bought this as a second try. He loves it. He helps open it and set it up and likes using it. The design is clever and works well. It's a bit bulky but fits in the basket under our umbrella stroller or in a backpack.

For some reason our son loves this potty but we are going to return it anyway because every time he pees on it it goes all over the floor. The guard doesn't do anything, not raised at all. I also don't like the ziploc bag idea, seems very bulky compared to the small bags you use with other travel potties like the potette (not sure I'm spelling that right). The hole also seems small.

                  Comments about Travel Potty:

I bought this for my daughter to use in places where a bathroom isn't always accessible (park, playground, etc.). Once you get it open and set up, it does the job. Here's what I don't like about it:
                  • The potty legs sort of jerk out and sometimes they come completely off (then you have to try to fix it with a toddler next to you who has to go NOW!)
                  • I still can't figure out how to open the side compartments easily. Every time I do it I cut my finger or break a nail.
                  • Folding it back isn't much easier...you have to make sure the handle is out of the way and it just sort of jerks back into place.

My other friends have travel pottys that open so easily. This one is a real pain and poorly made. Save yourself a lot of time and aggravation and buy a smaller one where the legs just fold down instead of slide out and down.

I will say that once this is assembled, it works fine and my daughter has no trouble using it but let's face it you need something that you can set up FAST.

                  Comments about Travel Potty:

Oh, I wanted to love it. But it was totally undersized for my almost 4yo boy (on the upper end of the size charts). With no boys guard, and a small opening, his knees would were almost up to his shoulders when he sat down, and had to push himself to the far back so that he could point down enough to pee into it rather than over it. If he'd needed to poop as well, it probably would have gone right off the back. Gross. Anyway, it was a little tougher than I expected to setup as well and I pinched myself on the side compartment. All in all, a waste of money. I ended up donating to a children's group hoping it would help the girls in the group.

This product could not be better; my daughter's been potty trained for only 3 weeks and this item has been invaluable. Makes leaving the house a breeze, whether we take her back to the car for a potty break or we just tote this very light potty with us. The only con so far is that the plastic edges around the side compartments are sharp, they cut me and I'm worried about my daughter's little hands. But this is really a lifesaver and I never thought I'd be so in love with a potty!

I have never before written a review but this is one of the most useful and best pieces of gear I have purchased as a parent (and I buy lots of stuff). It stays in the back of my car or bottom of my stroller. We use it on road trips, when we go to the beach, when I go for a run, etc...There is nothing like peace of mind when you have toddler that there is always a clean potty close by. JUST BUY IT...you'll be glad that you did!!!

I had to figure something out to make potty training successful on-the-go (we have a long commute). I looked at a few different brands and decided to go with this one since it's more like her potty at home and because you don't have to use "special" bags (just buy gallon-size ziplock bags at the dollar store). This thing is awesome! I'm having to buy another one because she prefers this one to her potty at home. So, now we leave one at home and the other in the car. Really awesome invention! Oh and I thought I would also comment on the negative reviews for opening the side drawers, it's really easy, but you have to push in before you try to pull the drawer up to open it. This thing is really easy to set up, clean up and take down.

I think this portable potty is excellent! We get stuck at soccer fields with my kids and there is no potty around. No problem - my kids just go in the car. Bag seals so it doesn't smell if I can't throw it away quickly. No spilling or leaking. Bags are easy to find everywhere - even dollar stores. I would recommend not getting the zipper type resealable bags - they down 'open' far enough to get the bag over the rim. We have used this in traffic, on trips, at games and fairs. My 5 year old doesn't 'hold' it very well so when she says she has to go we really have to hurry and find a bathroom. My 10 year old has no problem using it either when she needs to. Much cleaner than public restrooms. I'm buying my 2nd one, someone stepped on my old one and cracked it. It still works but I'm afraid it's going to pinch someone's bottom! BTW - quick clean up around the rim with a wet wipe and a fresh bag and you can let someone else's child use it. There are no sanitary or splash back issues with a fresh bag each time. And I have recommended it to many friends!

I had been considering getting this item and when my daughter started refusing to use public bathrooms I purchased it. It is great for at the park when there is no bathroom around. I always leave a bag in it so it is ready when its needed. I chose this one over other potty seats because it had the highest weight limit of any I found.
