Comments about Twin Sport Stroller - Graphite Scribble:
This stroller is wonderful! I have an almost 3 year old and a 2 month old and we bought this stroller before our Disneyland vacation. This stroller is lightweight and turns very easily and smoothly. It fits relatively easily through doorways (if door is opened wide), but once I took this stroller into a small store and it was really hard to fit around displays.
It is easy to fold but involves some prep work. The front wheels have to be locked into non-swivel position, the seat backs have to be in upright position, and the sun visors have to be folded back. After that it folds first up towards you (do not have to lay it on the ground) and then the two seat sides fold together forming a shape similar to a golf club carrying case. The best part is the stroller stands when folded!!! You can then hold the handle and roll your stroller around like a suitcase or you can throw it over your shoulder with the carry strap (this is good for a short amount of time or else it gets too heavy). I love that this stroller can STAND in my Honda Odyssey's sunken trunk and still leaves me plenty of room for other things. I never had a stroller take up such little room in my trunk. This stroller literally unfolds in one second!
The basket under the stroller, though large, does have a bar across the whole back that inhibits putting large objects into it (like bulky diaper bags). It does, however, fit lots of smaller objects. For Disneyland, I was able to fit all of our food and jackets in the basket, then carried a small backpack for items that I wanted to take with me like cameras and wallet. It worked just fine.
The one bad thing about this stroller is that it does not work well as a travel system. I purchased the Combi 33 shuttle car seat that is recommended for use. The car seat adapters are just these little removable clips that clip to the side bars of the stroller. They easily pull off so I didn't feel like they were very secure and safe. The car seat is then supposed to clip into those; however, it was really hard to do so. After one use, one of the clips got stretched out and no longer snapped like it was suppose to. I wish combi made a built in car seat adapter instead. If you need a travel system, then I do not recommend this stroller, otherwise I strongly recommend it.
This stroller is very comfortable for infants without the car seat. We ended up not using the car seat on our Disneyland trip and instead put our infant's car seat head support in the stroller and he was very comfortable and slept very well. The stroller has a built in infant boot that is stored under the seat. You Velcro it around the bar and it makes the stroller seat like a bassinet (this feature is found on both seats of the stroller). The seats recline very easily to any level you want.
There are 3 cup holders for the children that can also be used for snacks; however, they are not very deep. I could see how a sippy cup could fall out easily. This is not a deal breaker for me. There is also a detachable cup holder for the parents that comes off the side of the push bar. There is also one pocket behind each seat for things that need easily accessed like keys, camera, diapers, wipes, etc. I feel like this stroller has plenty of storage.
The bar that is across the front of the seats is very soft and flimsy. I guess it makes the stroller more lightweight to have it this way. I do like that you can remove the bar from one side if needed. I needed it on my infant's seat to attach the infant boot, but I did not want it in front of my toddler because I wanted her to be able to get in and out easily. With it removed, you lose one of your cup holders for the toddler though.
The sun visors are adequate, but they don't extend very far out. You can purchase after market extended sun shades or we just covered the stroller with a blanket to provide more shade to the baby. There is a window in the top of the visor with a mesh cover to allow air in. The visors seem a little flimsy but it is not a big deal. My lightweight five year old also fit fine in this stroller.
Comments about Twin Sport Stroller - Sunset Scribble:
Best baby product I've ever bought!! I have currently have a large (always in the 95%) 2 1/2 year old and a baby on the way in July. I am HUGE researcher and spent dozens of hours looking into and reading reviews on double strollers. I initially wanted a tandem stroller but I finally decided that side-by-side would be best because I wanted my toddler to be able to easily get in and out by herself, fully recline for naps on the go, and have interaction with her sibling that did not involve kicking the back seat.
My MUST HAVES in a stroller were...
-Can fit through standard doors easily
-Easy to maneuver
-Light weight (There was NO WAY I wanted to lug around two large kids AND a massive stroller)
-Comfortable and can fully recline in both seats
-Cup holders/snack holders for the kids
-Allows room to grow (I'm the kind of person who likes to make a smart buy that will last a long time)
-Heavier weight limit (my toddler already weighs over 30lbs)
THIS STROLLER DOES IT ALL!! I was excited to order this stroller after all my readings but I still had doubts and was fully prepared to return it after the first use if I was not pleased. When it arrived, my 2 year old immediately went crazy for it! She insisted on sitting in it for hours, so that told me it was comfortable. I've used it several times since it arrived and every time I use it, the stroller impresses me more. It is SO easy to maneuver when the front wheels are put are allowed to swivel and really easy to push even with my large toddler and her same-aged friend.
Some reviewers have said that they dislike the small storage. The storage does not seem too small to me. It will easily hold the necessities (diapers, wipes, snacks, blankets/jackets, etc), but I wouldn't plan on using it for holding all your shopping items w/out using bag hooks.
Another complaint I hear is about the lack of adult cup holders. This one I agree with but to me it shouldn't be a deal breaker. There are A LOT of after market products that can be clipped or secured on the handles to provide adult storage and cup holders, this is what I'm planning on doing in the future.
I also have read that some people claim that they have problems pushing this stroller over small bumps and cracks. I've taken this over several cracks and bumps and haven't had a problem with it at all.
Overall, I LOVE THIS STROLLER! My 2 year old gets excited every time I say we are going to use it. I've started bribing her with it. LOL! The only downsides to this stroller are minimal and can easily be fixed with after-market accessories.
