3. since i was satisfied with this one, i bought the birdhouse patch rug as well (although that's a girl thing) as i couldn't find any other economical rug of the same size
4. is big enough to place him as well as all his toys & still there's room for his movement as well
5. would also provide a playful learning time when he's big enough for that

I got this rug for our baby girl's nursery and I love it. The quality of this rug is just as good as those I saw at pottery barn and other fancy stores but for half the cost. This rug is probably not as thick and plush as a pottery barn rug but I like it that way so I don't trip over the edges when it's on hardwood floor. The rug is soft and inviting to sit / lay down on, and has great colors and texture.
