EcoSpring 2-N-1 Dual Firmness Infant / Toddler Crib Mattress
The Colgate EcoSpring 2-N-1 mattress is one of the Colgate Cradletyme Naturals collection of mattresses, pads, and accessories. The 2-N-1 stands for infant/toddler style where one side is firmer for the infant as recommended by most medical experts and, the other side is firm but a little more comfortable for toddlers. The Colgate EcoSpring 2-N-1 is GREENGUARD air quality certified to have no harmful air emissions and, is friendlier than most mattresses. It is made with component materials that are high quality, natural. The mattress starts with a high quality 190 coil spring unit that has extra thick 6.0 (the lower the gauge number, the better) gauge border rods that provide extra edge support, firmness, and durability. The all-important support pad (insulator) on top of the springs that prevents the cushioning layers from sinking into the coils is made of coir fiber that comes from natural coconut shell husks and natural latex that comes from plants. Coir fiber is a better mattress support material than the support layer material found in most crib mattresses and even adult mattresses. Next come two cushioning layers on each mattress side - non-allergenic, CertiPUR-US certified safe eco-foam made with plant oils replacing petroleum based oils and, a top cushioning layer of natural cotton batting that adds comfort without taking away firmness. The mattress cover is certified organic cotton with a waterproof backing that leaks nothing inside the mattress and keeps the organic cotton closest to baby's skin. This mattress will fit all standard size American cribs and toddler beds.
