I so far have purchased 2 for baby shower gifts. My daughter purchased it first and uses as a trigger for my grandson to know it is time to sleep at night. He has learned when the stars project across the ceiling and walls, it is time to go to bed at night.

My sister gave this to my daughter for Christmas this year when she was about 20 months old. She immediately figured out how to use it and LOVES to turn on her "ny-ny yurle". The light stays on for 30 minutes and is not too bright but still bright enough to project stars and moon on to her ceiling, there's even a big dipper constellation!
Since Christmas we've replaced the batteries once, so the first set which came with the toy lasted about 3 months. We let her have it in bed as it poses no obvious smothering hazard to an almost 2 year old. Obviously we wouldn't put it in the bed with a younger infant. She can wake up and turn it on and we've found that it can often keep her from getting as upset if she wakes up temporarily at night. We still have an "always-on" plug in nightlight in her room so this is mostly for her to look at rather than serve as an all-night nightlight. Seems that all 3 kids nightlights that are toy-like have the same 30 minute on/off period.
We love because she loves it, and it's also pretty cute without being obnoixously cartoon-y or character branded. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a nightlight that's fun and easy for a child to use but not meant to provide all night light.

We ordered two of these. One turtle and one ladybug for our kids for this past Christmas. They are SO cute and the kids loved them. But two of the colors on the turtle quit working after ONE night. So we got a replacement...here were are less than two months later and two lights are out on the replacement!! The ladybug worked great until last week when it has two lights go out...a replacement is coming but this is ridiculous. They turned out to be a total waste of money which is sad because it could be such a cute product...if they worked like they are supposed to (Per Cloud B, the LED lights should last 3,000 hrs but the don't and they are NOT replaceable. When they're dead, they're dead!)

I have this for both of my toddlers and it makes an excellent gift idea for anyone who has children. In fact, I've had people tell me that they've had to buy another one when they've had a second child because the first loves it so much.

We got this turtle because we have been having trouble getting my daughter to sleep at nights. The turtle is cute and soft with a hard shell where the lights come out of. It comes with three different choices of light, blue, green and gold. The celestial stars, etc are great and show up nice on the ceiling. I just wish they lights would move or maybe offer a button where the colors can change. It's just a little boring. But it still helps and our daughter seems to be interested for about a minute.

This is such a fun light to have. We give this away to every family with a new baby. Each of our children have a turtle/ladybug in their room and it's a favorite among friends. The stars are bright and light up the room . The light turns off within 20 to 40 minutes depending on the setting. We have found that our youngest enjoyed this as early as 3 months and our 3.5 year old still loves it. It's fun to sing Twinkle Twinkle to, to count the stars, etc. I highly recommend it.

My son is a year old and LOVES Twilight Turtle! He has fun choosing the color of the stars and falls asleep long before it turns off. The colors are soothing and help to relax him. If you are near a Nordstrom, purchase there! They will accept returns if anything happens to Mr. Turtle (or Lady Bug).

I received this as a gift for my newborn but once my 4 year old saw the stars illuminated all over his ceiling when the lights were turned out it quickly became his! He stares at the stars (which double as a night-light) and he goes to sleep much faster now & looks forward to turning on his turtle at bed time. My 2 month old loves the stars too as he waives his arms and coos when he gets a chance to use the turtle. Looks like i'll be ordering a 2nd one shortly. Enjoy it!

We bought the Twilight Turtle for our daughter. It worked really well, and has helped her fall asleep without fussing for naps and at night. However, it quit working unexpectedly after about a month. This caused quite a disturbance in our daughter's sleep because she didn't have it for a few days. [...] We can't wait to get the new one, and hope this one doesn't quit working!

I bought this for my first child and thought it would be great, unfortunately the light would always go off and either she was not asleep by then or would wake up screaming because their was no night light in the room and the room was too dark. I thought this product would be a good night light but it wont stay on very long. It was a waste of money just for a few minutes. If it lasted all night it would be great.
