Comments about Polly Highchair - Adventure:

Overall I love this highchair. I've used it with both my kids (now 4 & 2) and it still looks pretty new. I love how adjustable it is--height, arms, feet/leg rest and the recline feature. I love how the tray hangs on the back of the legs and it folds up so it doesn't take up so much room in the kitchen. Before my girls were even sitting up I would strap them in, recline it and have them next to me in the kitchen as I was cooking. We always used the tray insert because we found it easier to clean than the entire tray. It did not fit in my dishwasher. The chair fabric is a bit difficult to keep clean. We didn't buy the vinyl/plastic covered model because we though it wouldn't be as comfortable to sit on as the fabric one. Looking back, I kind of wish we had bought the vinyl one. I found a generic fabric highchair seat cover that I used over the chair seat and that kept the fabric cleaner. Then I would wash that extra cover about 1X a week. I have washed and air dryed the fabric seat that came with this highchair about 12 times and it still looks great and didn't shrink. I also washed the straps (including the big one between the legs) in the washer many time too. I love that it has a good safety strap harness AND the big plastic piece of the tray that goes between the legs. When my girls got a little older we stopped using the tray, folded the arms up and pushed them up to the table (with the wheels locked). They loved it because they felt like big girls eating at the table. My biggest complaint is how food gets trapped in the seam of the big tray. I had to take a tooth pick or knife and scrape it out many times. We did take it to grandma's house several time too as it is light and folds easily. I never used the pads on the shoulder straps.

Comments about Polly Highchair - Adventure:

We have used this high chair for our two children over the last four years. The other reviewers are correct; the fabric is not vinyl which makes cleaning more difficult. I would spot clean the chair and wash it a couple of times a week when our kids were in their messy eating stage. The covers have been in the washer many times with no issues to report. I would also mostly wash the green plush cover and would simply place our kids on the vinyl brown cover if the green one was still in the wash.

Yes, crumbs do find their way into the smallest of nooks on this chair. At one point I remember having to hose the chair in the yard to really clean it but again, that was only during the really messy eating stage. I used a small hand broom to clean the crumbs out.

The tray did not fit in our dishwasher. When hand washing it, water would get trapped inside the tray and the only way to get it out was to move the tray repeatedly until most of the water drained. After than we would let it drip dry in the sink to allow the remaining water to escape. The tray is huge and did not fit into our drying rack very well.

We have company a few times a week for dinner so a plus of the chair is its versatility. The chair has been used for a sleeping infant who needed to be out of the way from the other kids to a booster chair for our daughter now age 2. The chair height adjusts easily to ensure legs are not squashed under the table. The chair can lean to a reclining position and the foot rest brought up to ensure children do not fall from the chair. The chair is also sturdy. Our daughter shakes the chair vigorously and it barely budges. We have the Fisher Price Healthy Care and Rain Forest Healthy Care chairs for our kids but our daughter prefers the softness of the Chicco chair to the hard plastic of the boosters. We do not use the tray anymore now that we use the chair as a booster. We simply adjusted the chair to our table height and scoot our daughter to the table like any other dining room chair.

So, with all this in mind, I would recommend the chair but would search for the vinyl cover that another reviewer said exists. The most frustrating time with the chair was only when our children first began solids; everything was a mess at that time, not just the chair. After that stage, we had a comfortable, well-padded chair that was easily moved and adjustable.

Comments about Polly Highchair - Adventure:

My baby is just 6 months old so we've only been using for a couple of months.

Comfy - I love how well my son fits in the seat. It supported him very nicely even when he couldn't properly sit up. He seems very comfy and content in the seat.

Tray Inserts - I do not use the little tray inserts right now - maybe I will later, but for now I don't see any need for them.

Tray - Tray hangs off the back of the chair...? I was very excited about this feature but I don't believe my chair actually has the feature. I was very confused as to where to hang the tray... Last night I saw my friend's highchair she got a few years ago (same Polly highchair) and hers had two little pieces that stuff off of the legs that held the tray. My chair does not have these tabs....

The tray can be a little difficult to put on, but I don't often have to take it off. I just slide it away a little bit and my little one slides in and out with no problems.

Wheels - my wheels are a little challenging. I feel like I spend more time just dragging or pushing the thing instead of "wheeling" it across the floor. Again, I saw my friend's last night and hers moved all over with no problems...

Cloth cover - I read reviews about it being hard to keep clean but figured if I just made a point to regularly wash it I would be fine. I've only washed it once so far and it came clean.

Overall I like the seat. But I did feel a little let down after I saw my friend's chair. I felt like hers was a nicer quality than mine.

Comments about Polly Highchair - Adventure:

I ordered this high chair because it seemed to be the perfect combination of style, function and ease to clean as it said that both pads are vinyl. That is not the case! The under pad is vinyl, but the top pad which the baby is actually sitting on is polyester and cannot be wiped or washed! [...] If you are looking for a high chair that is easy to clean with vinyl pads, then this is NOT the chair for you. [...]

Our kitchen is VERY tiny and we don't have alot of space to keep a high chair and deperately needed one. This one folds up quickly and fairly compactly. It is has been great for our 8 month old!! Would recommend it to anyone in need of one, even if you never have to fold it up.

I really hate this high chair. I got it for my son, and we used it until he was around two, but it's difficult to clean and easily attracts crumbs to its crevices. The tray is also very bulky and too big. I reluctantly tried it with my 8-month old daughter, and she kept sliding down. It's just not designed well. Don't be fooled by the chic look and low price.

Comments about Polly Highchair - Miro:

This is a decent highchair for the price, but like other reviewers mentioned, there are several design flaws.

      Pros:
      • The chair is on wheels so it's super easy to move your child closer to the table, or wherever you want him/her to be (awesome if you have hard floors!)
      • Stylish (not too cutesy)
      • Safe, sturdy
      • Good highchair for the price
      • Other reviewers mentioned problems with cleaning the vinyl seat pad, but I've never had an issue with that. True it's not machine washable, but I just wipe it down and it still looks good as new!

      Cons
      • Lots of crevices where food gets stuck (I basically have to run my fingernail in the groove that goes around the tray to remove food--if you have a better way, let me know!)
      • Kind of bulky--don't buy if you have limited space
      • Tray is hard to slide back and forth--you really have to put your weight behind it and jam it, which we've gotten used to over time
      • The removable tray is billed as dishwasher safe but good luck actually fitting it in your dishwasher

Comments about Chicco Polly Highchair - Coventry:

I dont recommend this highchair. It is nice that it reclines and adjusts for your baby, but when your child is a toddler and feeding themselves there are too many little nooks and crannies where food can go and you have to take the whole high chair apart to get them. I have washed by hand the padding and laid it in the sun to dry 3 times and it still stunk. I do not recommend this high chair.

Love the look of this high chair and it is a truly high quality high chair that I feel good about putting my daughter in. I love Chicco, we use their travel system and play-yard so it made sense to also purchase the high chair. The high chair is stylish and modern, and has great features like wheels (that can lock into place), an extra tray insert, and such great flexibility in adjusting the chair. Our daughter is only 4 months old and loves to sit in this chair even when its not dinner time, she gets a kick out of leaning back in the reclined position and watching us do things around the kitchen, all while she is safely buckled in!

My sister has the Coventy and love it. I love the brand, so, bought exactly what my sister has, except the Adventure style because it matched my decor. It states that it is vinyl, but, the green is like cloth and is NOT wipeable like vinyl. Kids are dirty and messy, first use, stained.

We have 7-week old twins and a 2 1/2 year old son, and I wish we knew about this product before! We used Fisher-Price high chairs before and weren't satisfied with how they fit on our chairs (the Space Saver)and how they fit at the table.

This Chicco is not only stylish, but lightweight and easily portable. It reclines so far that I can put our 7 week old twins in safely (have good head control), and they can sit at the table with us, allowing us to establish family dinnertime rituals early. I love the casters and how easily I can move it with kiddos in it. The adjustable foot rest will be really handy as they grow, to facilitate good sitting postures for eating (makes swalowing easier). With twins, we'll need to be able to scoot them around us to accomodate co-feeding, with Mom between the 2 chairs. And the TWO removable tray inserts for each chair help me to keep one clean at all times, even if one is in the dishwasher, waiting to be washed. As parents of multiples, any time-saver is a blessing!

It set up in no time, and it really does fold super-compactly! We just got our first one on Friday, and already I'm ordering the second one to replace the Fisher-Price adjustable high chair and the Space Saver that we already had. We just can't say enough great things about this product!

This chair has grooves and crannies that are impossible to clean. Toddlers do dump their cups, mine did and I had to throw away the seat cushion because despite three washings (even though it says it's not machine washable) the cushion still stank. Also there's a ridge or whatever all the way around the tray, I had to use a toothpick after every feeding to get all the food out. Toddlers are messy eaters, you don't want this chair for someone who makes a mess.

I have a lot of problems with this high chair. Although it folds compactly, the tray is huge and my son gets frustrated when he can't reach items on it. It has many many seams and crevices in the plastic frame that are very hard to clean. Food gets stuck inside. The tray is very hard to take on and off. The safety post between the baby's legs is on the tray, not the seat so if the tray isn't snapped in correctly it is not safe. The tray has holes in it so when you clean it water gets inside. So, as you can see, I do NOT recommend this highchair.
