I have been on vacation in Puerto Rico for 4 days now. My 2 year old hasn't been bit by a mosquito at all!! Like some of the reviews say, the spray is a stream, you must rub it in to spread it. It's a small price to pay because it seriously works!! Buy it! It also smells great!

I was really disappointed with this product. My poor son got eaten alive, even though I had slathered him in this greasy oil.

It was doubly bad because it's so greasy I had to give the kid a bath after we got home. Not cool!

I read all the reviews online for what to use as I dont like using the chemical sprays but Ive been getting bit by mosquitos like crazy in my new home whenever I go outside. I was watching a show with Dr. Oz about getting lemograss oil as a natural repellant and this product contains that.

My first day using this, I had a bee trying to land on my foot! I have never had bees coming around me in the past since I moved here in May, so scary that this stuff attracts Bees, seems this is dangerous actually if thats the case or needs to have some notice on the product that it attracts bees. I wanted to like it but I was only wearing it 30 min in my front yard with the bee coming after me. So please parents or those allergic to bee stings beware.

We sat outside doing yard work in humid, bug infested Louisiana, for a few hours. I used to spray as well as my 7 month old daughter. She has EXTREMELY sensitive skin, it worked great. Neither of us got bitten. It was easy on her skin and it smells GREAT! I will be buying this again when we run out!

My wife won't get me near me if I reek of DEET (Off), and she recommended this. I was very suspicious of the hippie-dippie stuff, but it smells delicious, and I (a serial bug victim) was left alone. Only hard part is keeping everyone else away or it will be gone before you know it.

This repellent works well, but you MUST cover every inch of exposed skin. Since the repellent doesn't spray well, you have to rub the liquid onto the skin in order to make sure you covered all the exposed areas of your body. If you do not do this, you will get bitten.

I live in Austin, Texas, and we have lots of mosquitoes in this humid climate. When I was pregnant, my OBGYN recommended I use a natural repellent (after my baby was born, my baby's pediatrician recommended a natural repellent for when she was old enough to use one). I chose this repellent and it works well. But like I said, mosquitoes will bite you on any area of your exposed skin that does not have the spray! I never had this issue with regular DEET repellents. Also, the spray is smelly--not of a harsh chemical smell. It's just that all the natural ingredients are strong in odor and the scent lasts a long time. It takes some getting used to the scent and not getting embarrassed about the scent when you apply it around others. Anyway, it's safe and doesn't have any harmful chemicals.

I wanted something to use on my toddler daughter that wasn't a harsh chemical, and thought this would be great. I tried it twice, and both times the next day had to sooth my daughter's multiple swollen mosquito bites. I was wearing regular bug spray and got no bites. Don't waste your money.

I've used this at the beach, where it worked for horseflies, and at home where it works when my neighbor's koi pond is breeding mosquitoes or the park gets buggy at twilight. It works well enough-- not perfectly, but it improves the situation a lot. And to me this is a more than acceptable trade-off for the peace of mind that comes from a non-toxic product. I am not a woodsman and I don't spend time in Lyme disease areas, and I'm sure I'd want something stronger in those situations. But for beach and backyard and park settings, I recommend this without hesitation.

The smell is quite strong, like a citronella candle with other herbal notes, and it is a little greasy. But you don't need much, because it's so strong, so that keeps the greasiness minimal. I like the smell, and the peace of mind from using a natural product is a huge plus.

I obsessed and researched all-natural bug repellents for a long time!! I found this one to not only work, but has a pleasant scent like a citronella candle. It IS a bit tricky to apply...I spray it on my hands and then rub it on my 20-month old son. He has sensitive skin and it's fine! I do his arms, legs, neck, face. And I don't feel like I have to rush to clean it off of him because there are no toxic chemicals. I'm sure this product may not work for everyone...but it sure beats any DEET product that can harm your child.

This stuff is a joke. It has a weird smell that seemed to attract the bugs. It literally did the opposite of what it said it would do. I was terribly disappointed and have lost confidence in burt's bees. I wouldn't waste your money, try another product!

Was really excited to see that Burt's had an insect repellent. However... after spraying this on myself and my two older children, when we came in the house an hour later, we had all been eaten alive by mosquitos. Don't think this helped a bit!
