I was hoping to find baby cream or ointment that DOES NOT treat diaper rush, but is primarily skin care product for sensitive baby bottom. This can definitely qualify as one. It does not contain (hateful) petroleum, it spreads on easily, it's not thick and has mild, pleasant scent. 7.5 oz will last long. Give it a try if you are on the look out for similar skin care product. Recommended!

The Burts Bees Ointment is great! I use it regularly to combat diaper rash and it works well on my kids' eczema. It's wonderful to find something that works without the harmful chemicals.

Great alternative to all of the nasty petroleum products out there like Vaseline, Aquafor etc. Nice and safe for babies diaper area. I use with every diaper change. Sometimes I use a butt paste as well. Very light fragrance.

We put this on our little ones tush at every diaper change as a preventative measure. She is almost out of diapers and has never had diaper rash!

I tried several natural products and decided to stick with Burts Bees diaper ointment which I thought was the best. But then I tried this one and I like it even more because it is easier to apply, not as thick and lasts longer. Great product to avoid diaper rash. I don't use it on other areas.

I really wanted to like this product. No petroleum, lots of natural ingredients. But it gave my newborn a nasty case of diaper rash. We didn't think it was this ointment and tried changing my baby's diapers and wipes, but the rash persisted for weeks. It even worsened. Finally my pediatrician recommended hydrocortisone and a different diaper cream, and the rash cleared up within days. Pity that solution has petrolatum, but it works. We gave this ointment another try and sure enough, the rash came back.

We love this product. We use it as our normal diaper cream with our cloth diapers because it does not have any petroleum products, which can't be used with cloth diapers. We also keep a tube of Burt's Bees Diaper Cream (which smells fantastic!) on hand in case a serious diaper rash develops, but barely ever need to use it. This is a much more economical product and works very well 99% of the time. It is also much easier to apply than the diaper cream. We have not noticed any smell with this product, and I am VERY sensitive to scents.

I love this product because I can use it for several areas on my daughter. She usually gets a rash under her neck from spit up or drool so I apply this ointment and it usually clears up the redness. We also use this for her bottom to avoid diaper rash. If i see her bottom is getting red, I apply this on her and it helps with the irratation.

We have used a lot of diaper creams over several years and this was a surprise. It doesn't have any zinc oxide in it and it turned out to handle diaper rash much better than other butt creams. This is the only stuff I use now and has cleared up our child's recurring rash. I would not use it as a moisturizer on the rest of the body because it is simply too greasy/oily and would get all over clothes and hair. As far as the smell, I don't think it smells bad/particularly strong. It has a fragrance as most Burts Bees products do. I have not tried it on myself to see if it stings as the other reviewer mentioned.

I love Burts Bees products but there is something wrong with this one..
It is recommended as a multipurpose ointment for baby- even the face.
The problem is that it burns my nose and gives me a headache smelling it (and I'm not huffing the container)
I'm not a sensitive person nor do any other burts bees products produce this result.
