These come huge then shrink to a nice size and are much softer than anything else I have. They absorb and wick moisture THE BEST. I use the airplane fold and tuck into large gdiaper pocket diaper and we're good to go overnight without a doubler. Much more absorbent than even disposables that leak on us. It's a touch bulkier than the normal cotton prefold but it's worth it since you don't have to double it for the heavy wetter. I'm very pleased and will be purchasing more.

I bought the medium sized for my 13lb 5 1/2 month old. They do not fit her as a diaper, but can be folded and put in a cover as others have done. Very absorbant and soft, but I should have sized up. Helpful tips included in packaging.

These are the most absorbent diapers we own -- the others being BumGenius and Flip regular and organic. We use them with our Flip covers so we don't have to mess with pins/snappis. We use the large diapers and are currently on the medium setting on the Flips--they fit fine, though I'm going to order some mediums and see if they aren't as bulky. (If you're starting out on the smallest Flip setting, you'll definitely want the small or medium diapers.) The only downside with these is that they're bulkier than the other inserts that we have, but the increased absorption and low price more than make up for it.

I followed a tip to boil them for twenty minutes before their first use -- while they weren't as absorbent as they would eventually become, they were ready to use after one wash and didn't seem to be any worse for wear.

I love that these prefolds are made from unbleached cotton. These are very absorbent as long as you follow the directions and wash them at least 5 times prior to use. I washed them 8 times to get the absorbency I wanted, but they have performed beautifully for me as both inserts inside cloth diaper covers (the smallest size will even fit into the small g-diapers)and as burp cloths.

After hearing that cloth diapers make great burp cloths, I bought some Gerber bird's-eye-weave diapers. They are very soft and absorbent, but they pilled like mad in the wash. I had little white balls of lint flying everywhere, and every time I used one of these diapers, I had to pick the lint off of Baby's mouth. And the stitching started coming apart on some of them, only after a few washes. Awful experience.

So I'm very glad I found these Indian prefold diapers from Bumkins. They are more expensive, but they've been great. They are very thick and wash well. No more lint explosions!

When I first received the package, I was amazed at how heavy it was. These diapers are really hefty! (4-8-4 construction: four layers of cotton on the sides, eight in the middle) Because they are so thick, they absorb a lot of liquid, and are durable. They also lay nicely on my shoulder or lap without slipping off, and stay put when I lay it under the baby's head.

The included instructions say that you need to wash these in hot water 4-5 times before use, to break down the natural oils in the unbleached fabric. After multiple washes, they become softer and fluffier (they take on a waffle-y texture). They also don't shrink very much - when I compared a washed diaper next to an unwashed one, there was only about 1/4" difference in the length/width.

These are 14.5"x22", which is pretty big. If you want to use them as burp cloths, you might even want something smaller, and these diapers do come in smaller sizes. [Check out the Infant (12" x 16") & Preemie (9.5" x 13") sizes.]

I love this product. I won a set online and they are the softest pre-folds I own yet and I own A LOT! I have been using them with a snappi and a flip diaper cover and have had no leaks yet. I also use them trifolded and placed in a Flip cover or other pocket diaper. You will love these. Washed many times already and NO PILLING!
