This product did absolutely NOTHING for the pee smell in my bum diapers - I sprayed and sprayed and sprayed again...washed my diapers 3 times and still stunk - total waste of money. I did some extra research and found that simply adding a swig of bleach and/or white vinegar solves the problem beautifully without damaging the diaper or hurting the baby's skin - two thumbs down for lying to us BumGenius.

A must have if you are doing cloth diapers! Although it doesn't completely eliminate odors in diapers it does make a difference. I can always tell when I am out for a few days; my daughters room is much stinkier!! As soon as I start using it again her room smells just fine. I simply spray each diaper once of twice before placing in the diaper pail.

This product does it's job and removes the urine and amonias from the soiled diapers. However, it's a bit pricey for such a small bottle which by the way runs out within 2-3 weeks.

I do caution, make sure you spray in a ventilated room or outside because the product is toxic when breathed in. My husband and I both developed a dry cough that lasted weeks because we were spraying it in the laundry room. I'm going to try the biokleen brand that others have mentioned.

We just started cloth diapering and the smell in the nursery was overwhelming. I was going to give up the cloth altogether until I found bumgenius oder remover and Itzy Ritzy wet bag. The two together have completely eliminated the smell without having to cover it up with another smell. It really was pretty amazing.

After reading reviews I decided to try this spray out. My toddler's diapers were really smelling of ammonia, especially first thing in the morning, so I needed something to help with the smell. It does work pretty well, I was pleasantly surprised. I use it with Bum Genius cloth diapers. I spray the liners and inserts after each use for a few days and then the smell subsides for a few weeks and when they start smelling again I just spray them for a few days...

I would give this diaper odor spray 5 stars if it weren't so expensive for something that gets used up very quickly. For people who still have smells, I think this is designed to be used on wet and dirty diapers... not as a way to clean the smell OUT of them. I spray this on my sons organic cotton diapers, and the wet covers, before putting them in my diaper laundry bag. It helps to cut down on the smell while they are waiting to be laundered and I know will help avoid bacteria growth. Diapers should ALWAYS be washed on hot cycle to kill the bacteria that create smell. if you have stinky diapers after washing, lay them out in the sun!
They need to have a less expensive refill for this because having to buy these tiny bottles and them trash them (recycle them) after a couple of weeks isn't exactly very environmentally friendly...and the price isn't wallet friendly. Otherwise, really works great!

I use this spray (2nd hand) Fuzzi Bunz & Gerber pre-folds. I rinse out the insert or the pre-fold in cold water, ring it out and then spray with the BG spray.
I am 36 weeks pregnant and still don't have any of the problems with coughing or getting in my throat that previous reviewers have mentioned, the only con is that it is expensive for the amount of product you get. I would recommend this to a friend but not as their sole spray, maybe just for traveling or in the diaper bag. It does help with the odor (I wash the diapers on Wednesdays and Saturdays) but it goes way too quickly.

I purchased this and it is very pricey for such a small bottle worked well for travel though. My biggest complaint with this product is the smell is so bad. Really strong chemical smell like you dont even want to breath it in. It smells toxic. I use the bio-kleen Bac-out and it smells wonderful with no harsh smell like this one. Hope this helps thanks.

This spray is really useful. I have used it on my son's cloth diapers and in the diaper pail. You do have to use quite a few sprays, but overall it does eliminate the smell.

I really don't have anything bad to say about the spray itself--it does what it says it will do. I used about 8 pumps per diaper (we use BG, and I didn't bother pulling the inserts out.) I then ran the wash twice, first cold with soap, second time hot without soap (to get the residue out, which can hold onto odors.) And every couple of cycles, I put them out in the sun to dry. Voila! no odors.

My only complaint is that it's a small bottle, and didn't last very long (2-3 weeks, maybe?) and there are no large refills available. Part of my desire to cloth diaper was to save money and go a little green, at least. I don't feel that this product really helps with either of those things (unless you absolutely refuse to cloth diaper because of the 'smell'... personally, what odor was left in the diapers was minimal, and never noticibly unless you stuck your nose 'right there', so it wasn't a big deal... I just didn't feel like I was getting them truly clean as long as it was there.)

We're using Biokleen's Bac-out now, and it seems to be working well, is cheaper, and is available in gallon size jugs. Same concept, as it's a natural deodorizer (and works for a bunch of other things, too!) but just fits in better with our lifestyle.

I wouldn't NOT recommend this product to a friend, but I would let you know that there are other products out there that are just as useful, and a bit more bang for your buck.

I am so conflicted about this product! I had initially purchased 1 bottle and thought it was a little pricey, so when the bottle ran out I just filled it with vinegar and water mixture to spray on the diapers. I didn't think the bg odor remover was that good until it was gone! Very soon, all of the diapers smelled bad, like worse than the cat box bad! I even tried putting vinegar in the extra rinse cycle and hanging them outside to dry, but still stinky! So I ordered 2 bottles this time and started to use it immediately . . . . then I remembered why I hated this product to begin with! As soon as I sprayed it on the diapers, my nose and my throat filled with this awful smell, but it is more than just a smell. I had this uncontrollable urge to cough and sneeze. It must be the "vegetative microbes" that are listed on the label. I don't know if it is just me, or if noone else has bothered to mention it, but it is horrible! So now, I am stuck with a tough choice; don't use the bg odor remover and have stinky, smelly diapers, or use it and feel like someone has scraped the back of my throat!

We were starting to get odors on our cloth diapers, no matter how much vinegar I added to the rinse cycle. This solved the problem - within a week, all my diapers were clean smelling again! Yay!
