I have used the BumGenius Detergent every other day for almost 5 months and I'm just about to run out of my first box. It really lasts and you don't need as much as it says you need for every load. I wash using the instructions for my BumGenius Pocket Diapers and Flip Diaper system. They come out perfect every time and the whole BumGenius line really makes cloth diapering easy for this first time mom. I'm ordering it again as soon as it is back in stock!

You may wonder if this is worth your money... This detergent cleans diapers well and lasts a long time! I've been using it every other day for 3 months and still have about a third left. Love it!

This detergent is amazing. I use it to wash my clothes in when I'm out of regular detergent or have a sticky mess from food or whatever the kids have been in. I have a three year old that doesn't use diapers and a 6 month old that does; we do lots of laundry. I have an energy efficient top loader and my diapers always come out clean. Stains wash out in two washes but there is never any smell. I usually rinse on cold first, and then do a hot wash with a little less than one scoop per load because I do diapers daily.

Our organic cotton prefolds typically come out just fresh and pristine with this detergent. However, we have hard water and stains don't readily come out. I have washed freshly pooped diapers 3x and the color and smell would not budge, even with this detergent. (I have realized this is the water's fault, not the detergent's.) BUT if I soak the pooped cloths in cold water with 1/2 a scoop of this detergent, and let it sit for a day, the stains disappear and I can add those cloths to a regular load with excellent results. I wanted to mention this, because the cloth diaper retailer (not BumGenius) has said that soaking is not necessary on their website. They have also suggested to use an oxygen bleach- which I have tried- and the bleach has NEVER cleared out stains the way the BumGenius cloth diaper detergent does. While I cannot "harness" the awesome bleaching power of the sun this season, I can rely on this cloth diaper detergent to completely clean our cloths, and that makes this product totally worth it.
