I was looking forward to my son using this, but when he was finally ready for it (at about 12-13 weeks) his legs were just too chubby. He outgrew it long before he was actually ready for it. It unfortunately was a waste for us, but i think it is a great product... if it fits your child. It is sturdy, easy to clean and best of all the concept is wonderful. But it is just too small. maybe they should consider making sizes...

I used this product maybe twice because my son's legs would not sit directly in the Bumbo. When I did get him in it, it squeezed his legs and getting him out of it was harsh. I would have to pull his legs out of it because it was too tight around them.

As much as I want her to love this, my daughter absolutely hates the Bumbo. She has chubby thighs and the leg holes on the Bumbo are a bit too small, so she gets stuck in it. I bought it as a first step towards a booster or high chair, but unfortunately it's not working out at all.

I didn't think I would need an infant seat with my first baby and I regretted not buying one. I bought this for my two-month old (she is now 5 months old) and it is a life saver! I use it all the time - when I am cleaning, cooking, doing laundry, playing with my other daughter...I put my baby in the Bumbo. She loves to sit up and watch the family. I bought the tray as well and I use it when I feed her or to put her toys on it. She does not like to lie down on her back and this seat keeps her upright and stable. At five months old she is trying to squirm out of it so I'm not sure how much longer I will use it but the Bumbo is definitely a worthy buy!

I was starting to be able to prop my 4 month old up but she would quickly slump over. I bought the bumbo chair to help her sit up. At 4 months, she was too thin and the space around her in the chair would cause her to lean to the side and slump over. I packed blankets around and that helped. Now at 5 months she sits straight up in it without blankets. She sits in her bumbo for about 15min at a time and we bought the tray that connects which I can put a toy on and she can entertain herself. My friend feeds her 6month old in their bumbo and her 1.5yr old still fits in it to eat cheerios and watch a cartoon, so I know it will grow with baby. The construction is like a sturdy foam. Soft for baby, but firm at the same time.
