        The Britax Marathon 70-G3 convertible car seat is designed for children rear facing from 5 to 40 pounds and forward facing from 20 up to 70 pounds. The Marathon 70-G3 achieves revolutionary head safety through the use of Britax SafeCell Technology in the base, integrated steel bars, and energy absorbing Versa-Tether that work together to minimize head excursion and reduce the risk of head injury during a frontal impact. The Marathon 70-G3 also incorporates Britax Side Impact Protection, offers a no-rethread and quick-adjust five-point harness, multiple buckle and recline adjustments, and an easy-remove cover that also allows access to belt paths from the front of the seat. A head and body pillow is provided for extra comfort and infant positioning.

        Features:

        • EZ-Buckle System retains the harness buckle in a forward position and prevents the child from sitting on the buckle when boarding
        • Base with SafeCell Technology features SafeCells designed to compress in a crash, significantly lowering the center of gravity and counteracting the forward rotation of the child seat which normally propels the child toward the front seat
        • Integrated Steel Bars strengthen the connection to the vehicle and reduce forward flexing of the child seat during a crash
        • Energy-Absorbing Versa-Tether features a staged-release tether webbing to slow the forward movement, reducing the crash forces reaching the child, and a two-point attachment to minimize forward rotation while anchoring the top of the child seat
        • Side Impact Protection comprised of deep side walls lined with energy-absorbing EPP foam distributes crash forces, shields from vehicle intrusion, and contains the head, neck and body
        • Tangle-Free, Five-Point Harness distributes crash forces across the strongest parts of the body and provides a secure fit
        • Harness Ultra Guard System (HUGSG+ñ+¦) provides resistance to forward movement in the event of a crash
        • 70-pound Weight Capacity for safety and comfort as your child grows
        • Rear and Forward Facing Recline for child comfort and positioning
        • High Density Comfort Foam provides an extra layer of padding to gently cushion your child

          This is our second marathon, as we loved the one we bought our older son so much we got this for our new babe. We love the durability of the seat and material. It's a breeze to be able to adjust the shoulder harness with one hand, instead of having to rethread the whole system. We change it between cars fairly often, and its super easy to install. Takes maybe 5 minutes. I love the reputation that Britax has, and was happy to get this seat for 25% off. We bought it 4 months earlier because we knew we wanted another one!

            Great product...very comfortable for kids...very high safety rating...easy to install...very easy to take cover off to clean in washing machine.

            This is the 3rd Britax Marathon seat we've bought. So, I guess we're sold!

            Shipped in perfect condition in 2 days...can't ask for more than that. Also came with free cup holder (very handy)...make sure you enter the code to get this.

            I always go to diapers.com first, and usually purchase from here. Great prices & super quick shipping keep me coming back. :)
