Purchased this Britax Boulevard 70 convertible car seat after a bit of research. I tend to be a consumer who will pay more if I am convinced that the long term quality is greater. I am happy with the level of materials, solidity, and overall set up of this car seat. Set up was no more difficult than any other car seat. My baby seems comfortable in this seat, though she has never liked car seats in general, so she is probably not a good indicator of that. All the padding seems of high quality to the touch.

I L.O.V.E. the Britax seats! They are so comfy for my kids and I cant get over the time they put into making them so easy to use correctly. If you have any doubts about your seat their customer service rocks and they post YouTube videos to make sure you can install your seat right.
I also love that they are FULLY lined with foam and use the nice push button latch connectors. The covers are high quality and built to last. Adjusting the seats harness is smooth as butter compared to other seats on the market. Its also extremely easy to adjust the settings from rear facing to forward facing (buckle position, recline, harness height). It takes about 1 minute tops!
Ive tried about every seat on the market and while some are just as nice they are not as user friendly. Yes they do cost more than some seats but honestly in my opinion everything Britax puts into their seats makes it worth the price. Also shop around for the
best price I have bought all my Britax seats on sale.
As far as the seat being "BULKY" its actually one of the smallest front to back profile seats on the market. Meaning it will allow you to put your front seats back further when your child is rear facing. Its around 18 inches wide but the base of the seat is alot smaller so it puzzles well with other carseats and boosters and leaves enough room for passengers to buckle next to it.

If you are looking for a GREAT car seat with wonderful saftey features, soft and comfy for your child, and 100% peace of mind.. look no more. THIS IS IT!! Our 13 month old son was getting out of every car seat we have bought, and didnt seem very comfy in them. We researched car seats for 2 weeks and found the Britax Advocate. It was the most exspensive out there, but it is worth EVERY penny. He loves the seat, he can't climb out, and when you simply look at Britax car seats for the first time, you know it stands alone in saftey. IT IS TRULY THE BEST SEAT YOU CAN BUY!! When my Husband bought a new truck, we needed to buy two more seats, but the Advocate would be to wide to fit two with someone sitting between them because of the side air pockets. I have two advocates in my expedition one in each row. The Boulevard is the SAME seat as the Advocate but without the side air pockets so its not as wide. Both seats offer a handle to simply slide the height of the straps up or down as needed also. This is my FAV feature since I never know which child will want in each seat and it only takes three seconds to do. PLEASE don't waste your money on the cheaper plastic seats. Im a mother that has held the hand of a 2-year-old baby as she was on life support for 2 months after an accident took her mother's (my BFF) life, I have seen what can happen in an accident, and how a car seat's safety features can make a HUGE differnece on the outcome. Your sweet baby's life may depend on the extra features this car seat has to offer that none of the others have. In this case, you get what you pay for and LOTS more!! Hope this helps.

After doing a ton of research about convertible car seats, this is the seat we ended up getting for our now 18 month old. He still rides rear facing, and he has a ton of room. He is a very tall boy and weights 30 lbs, but still has plenty of room and is always very comfortable. This seat has one of the, if not the, highest safety ratings, which is one of the reasons we bought it. We have a small car and a small SUV and it fits great in both vehicles. I love that you can recline the seat because it gives my son a little extra room.
Overall this is a great seat. I am very happy with our choice to buy it!

We bought this for our son when he turned 1 for a forward-facing seat (this was before the new recommendation to keep them rear-facing up to 2 years old). He is so comfortable in this seat. We are comfortable knowing how SAFE he is in this car seat.
The harness is easy for me to adjust (and I hate dealing with tangled straps but this has never been a problem with the Britax!). I can easily move the Boulevard from my small Honda to my husband's big Expedition. The LATCH buckles make this easy.
It is big, bulky, and heavy...but it also one of the safest car seats available.
We take this car seat with us when we travel on air planes because I know that my son will fall asleep in this car seat, and I like knowing that he is safe on the plane and in rental cars while we travel.
We have the Riviera pattern. Honestly, I don't like it. I found it on sale for a great price so that is why I chose this pattern. Otherwise, I'd pick a different color/pattern. But the car seat? --I am happy with it.

We purchased this car seat after doing a ton of research. One of our biggest issues was that we don't have a lot of front to back room in our vehicle, and it was hard to find a seat that fit properly. Well this one did, with room to spare. Install was pretty easy, and it is easy to adjust after taking the HUGS off (you can remove these for rear facing only). Would definitely recommend this seat to anyone without a lot of room between the first and second row of seats.

Make sure to purchase a mirror, you can not see baby if they are rear facing.

Botton line....VERY HAPPY WITH THE BRITAX CARSEAT!!!! Oh, GET THE TRAVEL CART TOO!!We first went with the Graco Smartseat with another famous website. That was a made in China peice of junk! I had difficulty with it from the beginning and my daughter would scream everytime she got in the Graco carseat.We purchased the Britax Caitlin through diapers.com since it was the lowest price out their and they had the free travel system cart. ;)I got the carseat the next day! I opened it up and saw how beautiful the carseat really is. Its purple with grey. (I am a plain one-color-at-a-time-person) My one year old daughter got in the carseat on her own. She sat in it, I strapped her in and she smiled. I think she loved that it was comfortable, easy to see out of, and the the straps didn't hurt her shoulders. A little heavy but it a balanced heavy. Easy to take up and down my stairs or transfer between trucks.With it being my first time. Its a little difficult to install, but once it is, its sturdy! (Using seat belt, not latch)I have to be honest. I am kinda jealous...LOL! I LOVE that it has U.S.A parts and some Thialand parts (cloth material). NO [*] JUNK!! :)THANK YOU, BRITAX!

I bought this car seat a year ago when my daughter turned 1 and chose it because it has one of the best safety ratings. i love this car seat. it's a bit pricey, but my child's safety comes first! it's easy to figure out and roomy. I got the onyx one, which is perfect for toddlers and does not show spills or stains.

I know my child is very safe in this well constructed seat. The added side impact head protection also helps to keep her head from flopping to the side when she falls asleep on long car rides. She seems very comfortable in this seat. I did a lot of research and have tried 2 other types of car seats with disappointment. I'm so happy I found this one. It's one of the most expensive out there but it's definitely worth it.
