I have 3 of these carseats and an infant seat as well. Two for each car and each kid. I have a 4 year old and a 4 month old. These are the best carseats out there. They are so much sturdier than others I have seen and they definitely make me feel safer on the road. Thank goodness I haven't had to test them, however. My only complaint is that the infant seat is really heavy and these seats are bulky, especially rear-facing. I can't put my front seats very far back with the carseats installed rear-facing. But they do still fit and there is still just enough leg room in the front seat. I love that they are able to be used for so long, that makes the price worth it.

tricky getting 45 degree recline for RF

so this is the 2nd review of this carseat (I bought 2) and it's difficult to rate. It's a great carseat but there are some disappointing features. I guess when you're paying for a top-of-the-line carseat you sorta have high expectations. Anyways, for rear-facing...it's been a bit of a challenge for me to get the seat reclined at 45 degrees. Once we tighten the seat to the latches, it forces teh seat upright (ergh, maybe 30 deg or less??). So my workaround was placing a towel underneath the seat (was also a recommendation from the CHP/firedept where my husband took our previous carseat to get it checked). Also, Britax recommends attaching the tether to the anchor in your car. And for my toyota camry, the anchor point is behind the headrest, so this means the tether will run across the carseat at head level. So w/o 45 degress and the strap running across..it's been a REAL pain getting my child in & out of the car. I've been reluctant to remove the strap to the anchor b/c Britax recommends it that way but seriously a BIG PAIN! Maybe it's just w/ a camry but I'd imagine most sedans would have the anchor behind the head rest. And i'd imagine other parents may struggle to get that 45 degree incline once you tighten the carseat. But other than that, it's a great carseat. My 18month old is on the small side so i can see her fit in this for a long time. Not so great a buy if you're buying for an older child (which i wrote a review on that for the cowmooflage carseat, if you're in that category).

I really like this car seat! When researching convertible seats I was considering the Britax ones and the Radian. I really liked that the radian was steel reinforced, but once I learned about the redesign of the Britax seats, and that they now have steel reinforcement, it put them on the same level in my mind. Britax also seemed to have a deeper seat with more protection around the head that looked like it would protect better in a side collision. I purchased the Advocate seat becasue of the extra side impact protection, in reality I am not convinced the plastic air cusion on the side of the seat will do much to provide extra impact absorption, so in that sense I may have just been as well off with the Boulevard... oh well. Thankfully I can not give the seat collision reviews, and hope never to, but I do feel very secure with my daugther in this seat.

In addition to the safety ratings, I love that this seat can rear face for a long time. It seems really comfortable, the fabric is well made and soft. I honestly want to sit in the seat myself it seems that comfortable. And the Anna print is super cute.

The only down side to this seat that I have found is the installation instructions for using the seat belt installation. I wanted to place the seat in the middle of my back seat but in my car the latch system is only on the side seats. Somehow we couldnt figure out how to get a secure fit using a seatbelt... it ended up being safer to set it up on the side using latch and get a good secure installation. I wish the directions for the belt would have been a little clearer.

I was very pleased when I opened the box and found this quality car seat. I purchased two for my twin girls after a lot of research and decided on this top of the line Britax since I am concerned about protecting against side impact since the seats are placed near the doors. I didn't expect the color to be very attractive, but I was very happy to see the print looked great in person and the colors were very nice, more dark red, dark pink, rust orange and an overall nice chocolate brown. This seat is so easy to adjust (shoulder height) with a lever at the top of the unit. Also there is padding under all parts of the strapping that touch the babies so that it doesn't dig into their skin. I was using the infant Graco Snugride and these seats make those look really sad, I wish I had purchased this when they were infants instead of having the expense of purchasing infant car seats. I am so happy with my quality purchase. Also, I should mention, as usual that the shipping was fast (24 hours). Fantastic experience!

This seat is the best you can buy but not great for little babies. I tried my 6 month old in it and it swallowed her. It didn't lean back far enough for her when she was sleeping so her head fell forward. Also you can't take them out of the car without waking them unlike an infant carrier like the chaperone.
