I have to say these are, by far, the best bottles!! I have tried Dr. Browns and there is no contest...BornFree are SO much better. When I take my son to daycare I just toss his bottles in the diaper bag and go. They BornFree don't make a mess or leak all over the things in my diaper bag; unlike the Dr.Browns that make everything a mess. I think these bottles are very easy to clean. I actually use the BornFree bottle brush which is very nice because it comes with a nipple cleaner...a huge plus!

I absolutley love Born Free bottles. They are easy to wash and since we've been using them my son no longer has gas problems. The only issue we've had is that it sometimes leaks - but that has happened just a few times out of the hundreds of times they've been used. I highly recommend Born Free.

Comments about Born Free BPA Free Plastic bottle - 9 oz - 2 pk:

I've tried 6 types of bottles, looking for just the right one that meets all of my criteria. Haven't found it yet, although the Nuk bottles I tried today are promising.

Here's what I've been looking for in order of priority:
                1. Doesn't leak between the nipple and bottle (big problem I've been having with the Avent bottles that I've been using for the last 3 months)
                2. Easy to clean
                3. Babies don't dribble too much (flow is slow enough for them)
                4. Vents well (babies don't have to stop sucking to allow air into the bottle - I would also put "nipple doesn't collapse" with this since I think it's closely related)

I tried the BORNFREE bottles for the last 4 days. It meets most of my criteria, but not #2. The silicone vent and plastic piece that fits over it is VERY hard to clean. The holes are too small to fit a normal bottle brush, and the small wire brush that comes with the Dr. Brown's bottles is too small (plus the BornFree packaging says not to use a wire brush). Personally, I would rather use the Dr. Brown's bottles, which are just as effective for the other 3 criteria and have as many pieces to wash as the BornFree bottles (5). The only difference is that with the little wire brush, I find the Dr. Brown's bottles slightly easier to clean than the BornFree bottles.

(Note that I'm leaning towards the Nuk bottles right now - the ones with a wider top which seem to be discontinued at diapers.com? - they have 3 pieces that are easy to wash, haven't leaked yet, and the flow seems to be fine. Only problem is that my babies do seem to need to stop sucking to let air into the bottle every now and then. I'm going to try the medium flow nipples to see if that helps, but even if it doesn't, I'm willing to stick with the Nuk bottles anyway because they are so much easier to clean and with twins, I have a LOT of bottles to wash every day.)

After using those bottles happily for about one month, I found all the nipples becomes super fast flow nipples(level one I got with twin pack), no matter how I hold it, screw it, no matter how much milk in it. I did everything correctly [...] I also found one of the nipples marked as level 2, clearly there are some quality control problem. I would not recommend this bottle. My baby got choked on it (that is how I found out the flow issue) and refuse to eat milk with this bottle. I had to go back to old Playtex (which leaks but the nipples works great).

We EBF and give pumped milk while I am at work during the day. Had to upgrade from the medela bottles when LO hit 6 mos as his suction was too strong and he was collapsing the nipple and getting frustrated. Had a bunch of Advent bottles and they were are PIA, leaked constantly, could never get them quite right. These are super easy and work like a charm.

I purchased several Born Free plastic bottles in 2008. I found that the measurement readings on my 9 oz. bottles were incorrect, off by 1/2 an ounce. I contacted Born Free via the website and received no response. Earlier this year I began using the bottles again. Again I contacted Born Free via phone and was told that they knew that the measurement readings were off and that they were "working on it", with no definitive resolution in sight. I'm confounded as to why these bottles have not been recalled. Most people I talk to who use Born Free don't even realize that their bottles measurements are off. This can cause serious problems in infants who are not receiving the correct water/formula ratio. I think this is a serious safety hazard.

We used to use Dr. Browns bottles exclusively, but someone gave us this one and it's become my daughter's absolute favorite bottle. She'll even hold it herself where she won't hold others. The fact that it's BPA-free is an added bonus. Just ordered a Born Free sippy cup. I'll never go back to anything else!

my daughter is 4 weeks and we have purchased multiple brands and types. Friends swore by the drop in bottles but she was unable to suck good enough. these bottles are by far the best we've used. I will be going back tomorrow to buy more!
