Pretty useful when you're nursing your newborn to maybe about 4-5 months.. but your baby will grow out of it fast. Once my baby got too big for it a pillow was sufficient, in fact when I tried to put her on the boppy she'd roll off of it.
It was a convenience since you can wrap it around your waist so it wont move around on you.

One huge con: I did have to hunch over my baby even with the boppy and so I still had major back pains. Perhaps I have a longer torso. It may not provide complete comfort for everyone. Try before you spend the $$$! (Borrow a friend's)

I bought this after hesitation because the instructor of our hospital baby classes recommended My Breast Friend pillow. I am glad that I chose the boppy instead. It is great support for baby while nursing but is still comfortable. Baby does not slip or slide around at all. For a large build or someone with back problems, I do not think this would not be a good product since it might not fit well and there is no back support. I am a small woman with no back issues so it is great for me.

I've read nothing but stellar reviews of the Boppy pillow, but none of these reviews have come from anyone with a bad back. BEWARE: If you have a bad or weak back, do NOT buy the Boppy pillow - use "My Breast Friend" instead. The Boppy offers NO back support, which is one of the most important aspects of correct breastfeeding positioning.

Someone gave me a Boppy as a gift, and I've actually turned it around and use it wrapped around the back of my waist instead of the front. It works better as a lumbar support than it does as a supportive positioner for the baby.

I also use it as a pillow on my bed since it has a nice firmness. As a side-sleeper it can wrap around the back of my head and act as a neck support.

this is the best product especially if you are breast feeding you child! You can also use it for tummy time, and to prop your baby up if he or she can not sit up by themselves yet! It is great to have.

I LOVE the new feature of the removable covers!!! When I had my first 12yrs ago I got an origional Boppy as a shower gift and loved it but it was hard to clean. I am now preg again and have already bought 2 pillows and a bunch of covers!! The Boppy was the best and now they made it even better with the washable covers!! Works REALLY good to sit on after delivery to relieve some of the pressure soreness.. ALSO works great as the baby grows as a belly support and then sitting support. Would DEFINATELY recomend at least one for every mom!!

Do NOT buy this pillow for nursing a newborn baby! It just doesn't work well enough for that purpose. Try the My Best Friend Pillow instead. It is more firm and provides back support, which is nice. The Boppy is too soft and won't stay in place the way you need it to.

For 3 months, I hesitated and couldn't make up my mind which product to buy. I thought the baby might slide off the Boppy due to its rounded shape and considered many other pillows. However, IMMEDIATELY once I got it I was lamenting not having bought it 3 months earlier! We have no problems with slipping while feeding-my fear was totally unfounded. And it's great for tummy time too! Every nursing mother needs this item.
