Fine tub, bad company. Boo to Boon!!!

    By Jacob

    from Ventura, CA

Comments about Naked Collapsible Baby Bathtub - Blue/White:

We really liked this tub. I worked very well... until one night the storage hook failed. When it fell it landed hard and the leg lock broke too. We can't use it with safely with locking the legs in the open position. I called Boon and I am OVERWHELMING DISAPPOINTED in this company. I was told we were out of the 90 day warranty. I said that is not a very good warranty and was told the is a pretty standard warranty. Nope! Not according to most of the things I have bought for our child. One year is standard, with some items being warrantied longer than a year.

Fine, my dime, "Can I buy replacement parts?" No, they don't offer any replacement parts for the legs, locks or the hook. So, despite the claims of being an environmentally friendly company on their website, I now have to buy a replacement tub, completely wasting the perfectly repairable tub we have (all the parts are held in place by screws and could be serviced if I had access to the parts). I said, "Well if you're not going to stand behind your products I don't think I'll be buying anymore of your products."

Their response to losing a customer? "Okay, thank you." Good riddance to Boon!

    Modern Space Saver

Comments about Naked Collapsible Baby Bathtub - Red/White:

Great modern looking space saving tub. When not in use we collapse ours and hang it in the bathroom.

When positioned correctly this tub does not collapse. We've never had any trouble with it and have been using it since she was a newborn. She is now 5.5 months old and we still use it in the recline position.

I do wish that in the recline position the drain was on the bottom and not by the baby's head (thus the 4 stars).

The hook on ours broke but I wrote an email to the company with photos and they sent me a new hook. Great customer service!

Comments about Naked Collapsible Baby Bathtub - Blue/White:

I love Boon and the look of this tub but as far as function goes it is awful. First there is a bar underneath so you can elevate a newborn/infants head which is also where the drain is...Makes no sense. You think the drain would be at the bottom so you could wash them off and it would drain out. My baby constantly slipped around and I always had to hold her with one hand. I have to say we switched it out for a cheap blow up bathtub and it made a world of difference. I love Boon products but this tub design gets a major fail in my book.

    Sleek but not Functional

Comments about Naked Collapsible Baby Bathtub - Blue/White:

This tub is sleek and is nice looking.. It has a hook to hang, which is makes for easy storing.

When we bath our daughter it is an awkward and uncomfortable for both of us.. When we lay her down with the side inclide, its not vertical enough to keep water out of her ears and she always slides down so we have to hold her in place with one hand which makes for grabbing soap or washing water out of her hair not the easiest.

Love this tub now that baby sits up!

I started loving this tub once my son could sit up around 5-6 months. Before that it was difficult to hold him up as he would slide down the incline. I like that he can play in the tub without the worry of slipping. He sits up well in it and even when he falls over, he just hits the plastic. The tub fits inbetween the vanity and shower in my tiny apt bathroom and even has a hook so that it can be hung to dry or behind a door. Its a great buy for a small space.

Comments about Naked Collapsible Baby Bathtub - Blue/White:

I bought this tub for two reasons; to save water and to use when traveling in Europe (not a lot of bathtubs in European hotels)
I love the design and had high hopes for this but the first thing we noticed was that it is very slippery! My son (5mo) was sliding all over the place and his limbs were quickly hanging over the edges like an octopus trying to escape! It is also very hard plastic on the edges.
We tried sitting him up (which he does with a sponge in the big bath) and he quickly slipped back down bumping his head on the side (which is hard) So we end up rushing through bath time and not letting him enjoy and explore which is a shame.
I've stopped using it and gone back to the big tub with a sponge so that he can play and we can use his toys and take our time.
It does use very little water and I think will still work in a pinch for travel.

Comments about Naked Collapsible Baby Bathtub - Blue/White:

I love this tub! Our son had reached the point of being a little too long to bathe in the kitchen sink but was too small for the big bath tub so I began the search for a baby bathtub. This was such a wonderful solution to our tub troubles! The legs fold flat and there is a hook on the back which is perfect for hanging the flattened tub to dry from the shower curtain rod or towel bar, perfect for our small apartment. The adjustable tub is great because I know we will be able to use this product as our son grows. We are currently using it in the slanted position since our son is only 2 months and you don't need to use any other positioning products like the sponge to keep them in place and safe.

Boon makes amazing products that are innovative, functional and stylish!
