The World of Cars: Best Friends tells the story of Lightning McQueen and Mater, and is written to reinforce toddlers understanding of friendship. The book comes with a stuffed Lightning McQueen character.

Based on the Disney/Pixar movie Cars, the book shows McQueen as the new guy in town, wanting to be elsewhere. However, he meets a kind and rusty tow truck, Mater, whose persistent friendliness wins over McQueen, and the two become good friends.

The World of Cars: Best Friends enhances young readers enjoyment of the story with sound buttons and cues throughout the text.
