I am sending this product back... I opened and didn't use it as I had a hard time getting just the lid off. I will admit I am pretty weak but I also had my mom try to remove and she couldn't. I gave to my husband he is extremely rough with things and he sure was able to open. That being said I'm scard I will break this product - it doesn't seem all that durable. I'll just us my own food processor instead.

                  Comments about Babycook - Sorbet:

I bought this product as it seemed the best of all worlds as it cooked, heated, blended, did everything except feed the baby. I read the directions and followed to a "T". The blending device did not want to work and I had to re-adjust the lid often. The bowl itself is flexible and poorly made and the lids do not fit tight. After only using the product twice, it no longer works....at all! I am very unhappy as I spent a great deal of money on it hoping to make homemade babyfood easier, and am now back at square one.

Comments about Babycook - Gipsy (White, Green, Purple):

My only complaint is I waited to long to buy it. I tried a stove top steamer basket and food blender but I had to constantly check the stove, water level, tenderness of the food, etc.(it took well over the 15 minutes the Beaba takes, within 20 minutes I have baby food plus a clean beaba) Then I had to transfer to the food processor, which is super noisy and makes my little one cry. Also it did not blend as well as the beaba. Not to mention the extra dishes I had to wash. The beaba is fast, easy to use, and easy to clean. Plus the water with all the "juice" from steaming is easy to blend in so she gets all the great nutrients.

                    Comments about Babycook - Sorbet:

Yes this is expensive but it is worth it. The one I own right now is a "hand-me-down" from another mother who used it for about two years, and now I'm using it for two years. It is not only good for baby food, I use it for my smoothies. Yes the motor is that strong! I would advice getting the cookbook as well. You'll get more use out of your babycook.

Be aware the tank of this steamer either rusts or builds up rust like calcium deposits and needs constant viglence. Would not recommend. Would be interested if other parents have made this observation.

being a 1st time parent, all of the extra things you need to do and take care of is kind of overwhelming (and confusing). so when it was time to introduce my son to soups, veggies, and fruits- I didn't want to stress over the process. (should i boil? cook? will it retain all of the vitamins, etc) I decided to buy this Babycook. It's super EASY! i use it everyday, for almost everything! Highly Recommended!

I love this cooker! It's so easy to use. I make many batches of food in one morning. It is not complicated: fill a basket, steam, dump food in to blender, blend. Pretty simple. Two bowls and 2 lids to wash afterward. That's pretty good for jars full of healthy baby food. I have had the gasket leak, but then I discovered that I had it on upside down. :D Easy fix. It makes about 6oz of food at once (1 freezer tray full). So it's not huge, but I'm cooking little meals, and I like to mix it up each week.

I had started making my own baby food with a food processor and a steam basket on the stove, and it was fine but created a lot of extra dishes and mess. I love the Beaba--it's really easy to use and easy to clean. I just add the chopped food and go do something else--no need to time it or watch the stove. There is so much less clean up and supervision involved.

I love to be able to steam cook ,so this way I dont waste all the good vitamins. The though of putting my babys food in the plastic bag plus microwave and harmful effects of the electromagnetic fields?? what if there are chemicals — phthalates and BPA — in the plastic, they might migrate into food . I am so glad I found Beaba .

I shopped around for about 6 months before deciding to splurge on an all-in-one baby food maker because it seems like such a great idea. I was so wrong. What the description doesn't tell you is that you have about 5 steps to make baby food in this thing. You have to fill the water compartment, put the little bowl into the big bowl, try to get the lid on, steam x15 min or so, wait for it to cool down, dump the food into the blender basket, add a separate lid, pour in some water, blend the food, then you're done and left with a pile of dishes after about 35 min per little container.
I have a ninja and the microwave steamer bags for a lot less money that I use now. It's way faster and works actually better because it has 2 blades instead of just 1 like the beaba.
                                      I was really disappointed.
