Bambino Mio Swim Nappy- Blue Fish

For hygiene reasons swimming pools require that babies wear suitable protection - normal suits offer no protection and ordinary nappies hold water, weighing the nappy down.

Swim nappies are a perfect alternative as they have a concealed waterproof layer, leak proof legs and waistband. There is no need to use an additional nappy.

  • The lining is cotton so that it is soft against baby's skin.
  • Waterproof to contain accidents.

I bought a pair of these for my 4 month old and also for my 2 year old so I wouldn't have to continue buying disposable swim diapers. So far, so good. We went swimming for several hours this past weekend (first and only time we've used them to date) and we had no problems. I washed them in the washing machine when we got home (did not dry them) and they look as good as new, except the draw string on the front is frayed a little. Doesn't affect using them again though. Seems to be a high quality material.

Oopps...my 15 month old daughter wore at the beach and these swim diapers leaked through her bathing suit. No problem as it was on our beach towel on the sand. Not absorbent, though, unfortunately.

      Horrible Quality and Design

Comments about Swim Nappy- Pink Spot:

These may look cute- but after 1 washing the drawstring wasteband unraveled and the end tore off. Who designs a children's product with a drawstring anyway! So- I put a knot in what was left of the string and tried to continue using them with my daughter. On the 2nd washing- the drawstring came totally out (like the other reviewer) because the string wasn't sewn in (again- a total safety issue). I just spent 45 minutes re-treading it (use a safety pin to guide) but seriously could have done better things with my time. Don't waste your money. I'll be throwing these out and ordering a pair from a different company.

          Not well made

Comments about Swim Nappy- Pink Spot:

Cute, but the leg elastic broke after one wear, and the waist threading came undone. I was able to sew it back to working order, but it was a ridiculous hassle for a swim diaper that was not cheap! I do not recommend.

Comments about Swim Nappy- Pink Spot:

The elastic around the left leg gave out before my daughter even wore it! I received a replacement and the replacement did EXACTLY the same thing. Additionally, the drawstring came out of the replacement and I was unable to re-thread it through the waistband due to the stitching on the side. It is such a cute product and would have been great; sadly, it is poorly made.
