Recommended by my child's pediatrician, this is the BEST diaper rash cream. I apply it mostly when my child is starting to show signs of a rash and it almost always shows noticeable improvement by the next change. It clears rashes very quickly. My child screamed when I applied Desitin to his rash, but Balmex causes him no discomfort at all, not even on a very sore, bleeding bottom. I sometimes apply Aquaphor on top of Balmex for an added moisture barrier and to "lock in" the Balmex. The texture of Balmex makes it easy to apply and remove and there is no unpleasant odor. I've also tried Triple Paste which works well too; but Balmex is as good or better, for a fraction of the cost. I'm not sure what this product has that other's don't but it just plain works!

My Dear One has very sensitive skin and we tried everything for diaper rash. Everything. In the end, this actually worked. Great before bed and for serious diaper rash.

When my daughter first started showing signs of diaper rash, I tried ALL of the creams to see which ones worked best.

The balmex us good and it does the job. However, the Aveeno cream glides across the skin much easier and has less of a medical-like smell.

Bottom line- if you like this product then you'll love the Aveeno brand.

I use this product every time i change my baby. Sometimes i forget to apply cream and redness appears instantly..It worked perfectly so far for us.

I use Balmex everyday to prevent any diaper rash or any discomfort and even when there is a break out, Balmex releaves any rash within 2 days the most. Unbelievable how fast this product works and not alot of cream is needed either. Once followed exactly as recommended results are fast. Now that my baby has past a year i still use Balmex but occassionally and still works extreamly great.

we have been using this cream from the day our son was born. We apply it every time he gets changed and he has never had a rash or the slightest redness. I never tried any other crteam to compare but why should we this works great!

product is great at treating diaper rash. My son did not respond at all to the Butt Paste, so i purchased this after recommendation by my pediatrician.

I love this stuff. After just one use it really does help treat diaper rash and if used consistently after treatment will help in preventing reocurance.

You can also try using wet paper towels instead of wipes to treat the rash since the chemicals can be harsh on an already sensitive area.

This is the ONLY thing that cleared up my daughter's terrible rash around her mouth caused from food irritating her skin when she was eating. Dr. Sears recommends Aquaphor, but it didn't work. I tried everything- A+D Gold, CA Baby's Calendula, lanolin, olive oil, petroleum jelly, hydrocortizone, and even a prescription ointment from the pediatrician. As a last resort, I put the tiniest bit around her mouth and rubbed it in while she was sleeping so she wouldn't consume any and the next day it looked better and one more treatment it was gone. I was so relieved and then frustrated that I didn't try it sooner. As for diaper rashes, it is the BEST and I have tried them all even Triple Paste. My daugther has gotten bleeding diaper rashes before and this cures them like no other. Don't bother with Desitin, it's all marketing in my opinion.

Unlike Desitin, Balmex smells good. Also unlike Desitin, it has an easy to work with consistency and is very quick to apply and wipe off. Like most zinc-based diaper creams, it works. But Balmex is special because of its looser consistency and pleasant smell.

My mom was the one to recommend this to me with my first child. It works right away!!! I even used it on myelf after having my first...the tuks pads and ointments i used to cleanse myself after giving birth irritated my skin so much that i couldnt sleep at night. It was horrible! But then i got the idea that since this worked on my baby so well then it might be my only relief. It was! After 5 minutes it took away the burning irritating symptoms and i finally slept. After two days, i was healed! Im definately using this, and only this, for my kids now and in the future.

After trying several different creams, I finally remembered the Balmex received as a baby shower gift. My son's bottom was virtually clear the next day! My son also screams when I use other product for his sensitive bum. Balmex is an amazing product and would recommend it to anyone. I will say I have had the tube explode from the bottom a couple times which I chalk up to living at altitude, but I put up with it on account of its effectiveness.

I started using this product with my 3rd child now 20 and use it now with both my grandchildren i carry the clear ointment and use it all day on my grandson he is very sensitive this prevents him from rashes - at night i use the paste. This is the best product on the market save your money - my daughter brought everyhting under the son (because she did not listen to me) and now she only keeps this in her home and keeps extra so she never runs out - take this advice from a mother over 32 years and now a grandmother of 2 toddlers - you can't beat this product

I use this during the daytime and it has been wonderful for my daughter to not get diaper rash or anything...at night though i use destin because it keeps her more dry because she sleeps so long at night.
