We decided to use this to supplement our sons formula "Babys Only Organic Lactose free".
The value of the DHA and ARA seems to be well documented. It mixed great with our formula. I also have no idea what the one reviewer meant by it wouldn't dissolve , as we never had any problems mixing it. I haven't tried it on food, but my son never missed a beat when we added it to his formula.
Good stuff, it seems to go in and out of stock for long durations (a month or more) at least twice in the last year for me (not just at diapers.com), so keep an extra box or 2 as backup when you look to reorder.

This is the best health supplement of it's kind next to Nordic Naturals Fish Oil which in my opinion is a little more tricky to feed to little ones but is what the adults in the house take. This powder form is also easy to dissolve in formula and is easily digested. What I noticed immediately when I started supplementing with this product was an increase in verbal skills and eye/hand coordination. I plan on using this product until the kids are old enough to swallow the Nordic Naturals Fish Oil gel caps.

I tried several different formulas. Baby's Only Lactose Free was the only brand that illiminated my baby's fussiness/cholic. Unfortuanley this brand doesn't add probiotics or DHA to thier formula. Im glad they make it available to add even if it is seperate and kind of expensive. The DHA/ARA comes in convienant little packets. My son doesn't care for the taste epecially when added to his food, but he seems to tolerate well when added to his formula. [...]

This is great stuff!! And I've had NO problem mixing it in formula!! Used it when I stopped nursing.. This is a excellent product and will use again when I wean the next baby!!!!

We noticed a difference very quickly in my son's focus and language skills.

Reviewer below had issues with it not mixing or being oily??? Have absolutely no idea what they are referring to... you simply add to formula and shake and you or the child wouldn't know it was added.

Water purified DHA, so easy to digest, compared to other DHA on the market, which is Hexane purified(been linked to GI issues in babies). Also, extremely easy to dissolve, I use either warm or cold water, what works the best for me is I use Dr. Browns formula mixer pitcher, and it works like a charm. I have also sprinkled it in my son's food, which works as well.

decided to try this but really have been reading up and people dont know how to dose dha, they just assume blindly more is better and cant cause an imbalance. breast milk doesnt contain such huge quantities of dha, they arent necessary

This is an awesome supplement! We put this in our daughter's bottles and her food as well. It has no real flavor so she doesn't notice it at all. We prefer this to Life's DHA because it is natural and not made using any harsh chemicals. We started this when she was 6 months old (on advice from our pediatrician) and add it as directed. I never write product reviews, but I am taking to time to share information I wish I had, had prior to purchasing.

I am an expert cook and I have tried every possible way to get this stuff to dissolve properly and there is ALWAYS a grainy film or bits left in the milk. Hot water, cold water, warm water, making a paste, premaking so it has time to dissolve, and a long list (a "formula mixer" from BRU...I can't even get into it.) The fact it doesn't dissolve properly can lead to digestion/absorption issues.

You should know this before you buy it.

Great product. Too bad it is out of stock since my baby uses it everyday. DHA & ARA derived from egg yolk unlike Life's DHA found in other products. Check out he company's website for more info.

This is a great way to get some of these essentials nutrients into your toddlers diet! We usually sprinkle it on his food in his formula or milk and in his water too. It doesn't have any taste to it , so he doesn't even notice it. But it has soo many positive benefits for baby's development! I dont know even where to start.
