On the one hand, we've had the same bottle for several (SEVERAL!) months, and after near daily usage, we still have about 1/3 of the bottle left.

On the other hand, it's definitely not tear free. I'm careful and we haven't had any problems since the first time I got it in my litte ones eye, but I have to warn everyone who sits for him that it's not tear-free, and I worry a little. Though it's WAY better than Johnson's. I'd rather worry about a little eye irritation than all the shady ingredients in Johnson's Baby Shampoo.

Maybe it's better for older kids.

I thought it was me.... but I see from the other reviewers that many also were not impressed with the smell. I mean how can you get lavender wrong? It doesn't smell like lavender, at all! more like detergent.

With all the hype surrounding Johnson & Johnson products and questionable ingredients, I bought this in my search for a natural alternative. Foam is nice and light. Smell is ok. It's lavender but doesn't smell like many other lavender products I own. My son has sensitive skin and hasn't had any issues.

Babyganics Baby Wash had some good, some bad reviews, so I decided to make my own decision. The smell was not "gag me" but it isn't lovely. It is very watery making it a challenge to foam up which is sort of nice for baby skin but takes effort when also dealing with a wiggly, slippery baby in the tub. The ingredients aren't impressive. The worst part was (I ordered 2, one for me and one for my sister) that it arrived leaking. Almost 20% of the soap had leaked out before I broke the outer plastic that it was wrapped in. Nothing about it made me want to order it again or recommend it to anyone else.

I don't understand all of the negative reviews. I have used this wash on my daughter since she was about 3 months old and now she's over a year. It smells fresh and rinses clean. I have no problem opening the bottle. Maybe people keep the cap on but there really isn't a need to as the product won't leak.

This product is great except it doesn't smell good. I thought since it was lavender it would have a great scent, but that is not the case.

I bought this because we use the Lavender Bubble Bath & Body Wash by Babyganics, and we love it. This product is just terrible, and does smell like laundry detergent.

Use on my 20 month old, 3 and 6 year old. Works great on hair and cleans without drying skin.

This does not smell anything like lavender. It smells more like laundry soap. The bottle was hard to get open, especially when your hands are wet.

I am very disappointed with this product. I ordered the one with a lavender scent, but it smells more like moth balls in a musty basement. TERRIBLE SMELL! In reading the ingredients, "lavender" (or some derivative of it) is not listed - all that's listed is "FRAGRANCE," so who knows what that could even be.

The foaming feature is very convenient and it does rinse clean, but I just cannot get past the smell.

I also am not happy with the fact that this product is far from "organic" as the name "Babyganics" implies.

My 2 year old has lately decided that bathtime is torture. This shampoo helped make it fun again, I aim it at his tummy and squirt - the foam piles up and he thinks this is a riot. Also, unlike many other brands, this rinses well. Likely because it is mostly water (hence the foam factor) but it is nice not to have to pour water over your kid's head 5 times over. The scent is uber-clean, I would prefer something lavender, but this is ok smelling. The bottle is a bit of a pain to open, but my husband doesn't have that issue with it. Overall, a good shampoo that we are ordering again.
