the reason i gave it 2 stars is because my son loves using this potty as his go to when its time... the mess it makes is unbearable for me sometimes because i am pregnant and its hard for me to always bend down and clean up all the pee pee off the floor so now i have put a towel down to suck in all the liquid... not worth the money spent
... WILL NOT USE FOR SECOND CHILD!

My baby can figure out how to hurt herself with safe, baby proof products so it was a relief to find that there were no sharp edges or corners on this potty. I used this potty for Elimination Communication with my baby but it's not quite right for that. There were red marks on my baby's butt and she protested sitting on it too long. Also she seemed to think it was a chair and didn't want to pee in it. It would probably be great for an actively potty training toddler. There is a sweet backrest, and you can pour out the contents easily. It cleans really nicely. There are no spots that can collect germs and accumulate pee stench. It is two, very simple pieces of plastic. I think it is safe as far as plastic goes.

This is overall a good potty chair, my son is a bigger 2 year old and he sits on it without discomfort. My biggest problem is that since I have a boy, we have been having a lot of pee going outside of the potty because the lip isn't tall enough. We will continue to use it, just beware that I've had to clean up a lot of pee on the floor.

We keep this potty chair in our minivan at all time along with toilet paper, a gallon of water and plastic bags. I don't feel comfortable having my 2yr old girl sitting in the public bathroom so this comes really handy. Very easy to clean when you have a gallon of water with you:)

We purchased two of these (one for each bathroom) to potty train our daughter. They clean up very easily, no parts to put back together, so that was a breeze. But although they describe it as a comfy armchair, my daughter did not like it at all. Part of it had to do with that weird high lip in the front. I guess it is supposed to guard against splashes? Not sure, but it made it hard to easily get into and out of the chair. My daughter was initially very resistant to potty training, and it was this chair! Once we switched to the Fischer Price Princess Potty, she was just fine and is using the potty on her own now. Maybe this is better for potty training younger kids that need to be put on the potty and who might fall off or something? Definitely would not recommend for a toddler that can get on and off on their own.

This is the 3rd one of these I have bought in the last 8 years and we still use all of them. It is simple and designed well. I also love the color choices.
