I love the versatility of the K'tan. I started using it when my LO was just 1 month old and we haven't put it down since! We started out with the kangaroo position and moved on to the hug a few months later. Now, his favorite position is explore so he could see everything. I make sure he has a comfortable seat spread out to his knees to avoid any "dangling."

I did a lot of research before choosing this carrier/wrap for my 3 month old daughter and I am not disappointed! I love that it is made to fit your size and does not have unnecessary extra and awkward fabric to deal with (I think it looks more flattering then your typical wrap). It was a bit tricky at first, but using a mirror helps. It took me a few tries out in public without one to get her (and myself) situated in it but once she was settled she loved it! After a while it did put strain on my back...but nothing bad. I would rather my back slightly ache then have my arms give out from holding her the whole time! I defiantly recommend this sling for any mom who loves the idea of baby carrying made simple without a bunch of fuss.

My husband bought this based on his size-- got the M-- and it's great for me too (size 18, 38F when BF) except the sash is a little short. My baby loves it; it's great for when he needs to nap. He settles down in under 5 minutes. If I wear the carrier for longer than an hour or 2 it kills my back but it's great for short periods and isn't too hot like the ergobaby (which is better on my back and easier to get into).

The instructions were slightly confusing the first time but once we practiced a few times it's easy to get the baby into position quickly. My boy is 11.5 lbs, 24.5 inches and 8 weeks old with good head control.

i think this carrier is literally genius and i wish i had it with my first. i love how quickly i put it on how simple it is to use - which is a life saver with a screaming newborn. But i am also impressed with how comfortable it feels when it is on. the other day i wore my little guy in the K'tan for 5 hours and i totally didn't realize how much time has passed. This is my new favorite baby item.

I use this carrier when I do errands around the house so that my hands are free and I can get things done but my son is still with me. I like how easy it is to use and that it is made out of soft durable cloth. He likes that he gets to snuggle close to me. I think that it works really well but sometimes it sags lower than I would like. I need to be careful to position my baby so that he is not too low and facing into my chest and this is trickier than I thought it would be.

i have a wrap and a structured carrier, and was not in love with either. the moby was a pain in the butt to get on and the carrier was too much for me with all the buckles and such... i really wanted a wrap style that wasnt so overwhelming, so when i found the k'tan i bought it instantly! and i LOVE it! it's so much easier to use than the moby and is less fabric so its not as hot. we use it practically every day and it calms lo down instantly. he even starts to smile when he sees me putting it on.

When I first heard about this product I wasn't sure. But I decided to give it a try because it seemed to be a hybrid option between classic slings and front carriers. And now, after trying it, I think I was right. The ktan is the best of both worlds -- similar to the weight distribution and convenience of a Baby Bjorn, but with the benefits of a sling too -- softer, cooler, with more flexibility in positioning (not just the one vertical position facing in or out like a Bjorn...and it can go in the dryer, too!)...and withOUT all the complicated fabric you have to wind with slings etc., like a Moby wrap.

It's true that it's kinda complicated to put on, -- but I watched the company's videos for the different positions 2-3 times each and that made it easy to figure out. As long as I put it on in front of a mirror, it's easy now. And my baby justs LOVES it! She is so content in it... And with my hands free to chase my older toddler, and the baby's weight evenly distributed on my shoulders and back, I am happy too!

i just reviewed the sage green and realized i own a black - basically this carrier rocks! no matter what color. it's easier than my wrap, quicker and lighter, and super comfy. use it with my second baby but WISH i had it 4 years ago with my first.

Baby K'tan, hands down, beats all my other carriers. This is my second child, and i only wish i had it 4 years ago! It is an awesome baby product. It's super easy. quick. comfy. not heavy and bulky. fits in my diaper bag. goes on in 1 minute. and best of all - keeps my baby safe and alseep on my chest for HOURS!!!!!!!!!

I love my Baby K'Tan! It is so simple compared to other wraps! It is very easy to put on without the help of another person.
I love using my K'Tan out and about. It keeps my daughter (2 1/2 months) snug and swaddled close. She was unsure (read hated) at first but after a few tries she loves the K'Tan too. She snuggles in and usually falls right to sleep. IT ALSO HELPS CALM HER SCREAMING WHEN NOTHING ELSE WORKS!
It does start to give me a backache after several hours use, but I have seen that complaint with every other carrier I've seen.

I love this product. It is a life saver!

I have been looking for the perfect sling/carrier. I decided to try this one because it seemed like it would be more comfortable than a carrier, but sturdier than a sling. I couldn't figure out the instructions at first and once I did, with the help of my husband, it seems like you would need a second person to help you put it on every time. I followed the sizing chart and ordered a small. I wear a medium for all of my shirts, so I was kind of hesitant to buy the small, but a lot of the reviews said to buy the smaller size if you weren't sure. Well, I definitely should have gotten the medium. With the small I feel like I can't breathe or else I will squish my 3 month old. I did like the fit of this carrier once I figured out how to get it on, but I definitely will be exchanging it for a bigger size and then we'll see how that goes.

I only actually used this wrap once outside of the home, and a few times around the house while I was cleaning. Like my title says, maybe I'm just not cut out for wrap type carriers and would be better off with a more "rigid" one. I read the instruction booklet and took my time trying to figure this wrap out. I found it very hard to remember the steps to put it on, and once I did get the baby inside, it felt wrong. I would end up holding onto her with one arm and constantly checking her at the same time. I used it in the park once over the summer when she was about 3 months old and it seemed like alot of material to be wearing and I was dripping with sweat after about half an hour. For those who are "Pro's" and can work these things, it is very soft and seems pretty versatile...in fact both of my girls (now 9 months and 2 years) will drag this out at nap time and sleep on it, so it is snuggly. I would recommend this to an experienced baby carrier or someone living in colder regions who has the patience to practice with it.

Let me start with I never review anything but I loved this product.
It is by far the easiest carrier I have ever used. I wore my twins in it and will wear my newest baby as soon as she arrives.
The carrier kept baby(s) close without making me too hot. It also isn't as bulky as some of the others wraps or carriers.
I didn't use it as a sling much, mostly just front carry and usually didn't feel like we needed the extra support band. If the loops fit tight enough then baby probably isn't going anywhere. This one is tight but sure streches a lot. Enough so I could get both babies in there.
If it says anything it was the ONLY piece of baby gear I saved incase we decided to have another baby. Sure glad I did!

I am a size 16/18, so I got the L and XL to see which I fit best in (yay free returns!) I found the XL to be too big, my son was not snug against me and it didn't feel secure. The L size felt initially too small, but once I had it on and he was in it, the L was definitely the best size to have. I am chesty to begin with and currently while breastfeeding am a 40DDD/40F, and the sizing cart is right that chest size doesn't affect the size you should order.

And it really does work to put him to sleep! My son likes to fight sleeping, he would rather stay awake and see the world even when he's over tired. Putting him in the K'Tan gets him warm and cozy and cuts down on the stimulation so he can let himself sleep, and it's nice for mom too to get the snuggles from a sleepy baby while maintaining her mobility!

My son was born a tiny giant, 12 pounds and 23" long, and I was only able to put him in the infant sling I had for a little while before he grew too long for it. I then moved on to the K'Tan, but because he was only a few weeks old and didn't have head control yet, I could only put him in the Kangeroo and Cradle positions, and he was so heavy that he kept slipping down and I was concerned his head might be too close to his chest. I'm looking forward to using this more now that he is older (9wks) has some more head control.
