I've used this sling so far four times for varying lengths of time - the longest of which was today for 2 1/2 hours. I'm not sure if it's residual back pain from labor (I'm 5 weeks post-partum) or if I just have a weak back - either way, this wrap (and perhaps all similar wraps as this is the only one I've ever tried) KILLS my back. My baby boy is currently about 10ish pounds I think.

I do wish that they had more colors and maybe even a few patterns available!

Last, I'm not entirely sure I have the correct size. I sized down as recommended but my 5 week old seems pretty squished in there - maybe that's how it's supposed to be? I'm just not sure.

Wish I could give a more informative review, but I had expected more comfort for myself and my little babe than I feel we've gotten out of it. Wish I knew if that's due to a sizing error or the product as a whole.

first i tried moby wrap and found it so inconvenient to use. i wanted to use it when i go out with my 3wk newborn and 2 1/2yrs boy. i realized i couldnt use mobywrap outside the house because it is so long and difficult to put on. although baby k'tan is little more expensive than mobywrap, is it so much more worthy. my baby gets cranky sometimes when he wants to sleep and i put him in this carrier. he falls asleep in less than 2 minutes most of the time. i'd recommend it to anyone especially who has hard time putting baby to sleep. totally love it!

So my review probably looks a bit contradictory since I checked both comfortable and uncomfortable, but it depends on the use. As baby gets bigger, the K'tan (we're still in the newborn kangaroo position) hurts my back if I wear him for extended time. However, for shorter times, or if I'm sitting down, life doesn't getting better than when he's in the k'tan. I can wear him around the house and have two free hands and even eat easily while wearing him. For short errands it's also great for newborns because they are all tucked away in the kangaroo position and strangers can't touch them. My baby is 2 months now and I'm looking forward to trying the new positions as he gains better head control. I was nervous at first about wearing him correctly and that his head might pop out, but with practice, I feel he is very secure.

While confusing straight out of the box, the instructions for wear are clear and it seems comfortable and to give good support. Since my size seemed on the cusp, I ordered down as the site suggested, but I am not sure that was a good idea. I'm still pregnant, but it doesn't look like there will be room for my baby beyond a couple weeks old! We will see once the baby arrives, and thank goodness Diapers.com has easy and free returns/exchanges!

My son is now 6 months old and I love using this wrap. I got it when he was less then a month old and he would just snuggle up and fall asleep. He is a big baby (9.9 at birth and nearly 21lb now) and I can hold him in this for hours and still not feel sore. I hurt my sholder when I was younger and straps tend to agrivate it. The wide fabric is nice because it spreads out the weight. It was nice to snuggle with him when he was younger and I would turn him around to see out when he was awake. Now I use the hip possition and he loves looking around and I love the freedom of my arms. If it gets dirty I can just through it in the wash with the clothes and dry it in the drier. Love that it is all around easy!

Finally got this b/c the MOBY takes tooooo long to put on. Baby cries while she's waiting for me to get MOBY on. Also, I can put this on anywhere w/o fabric dragging on the ground (like w/ the MOBY). And the Baby K'Tan is not hot to wear like the MOBY, which makes a huge difference in the summer.

I can breastfeed & carry her in this. Use it in multiple positions, though she prefers facing outward. we love it (compared to the moby!)

the only con for me is that I'm a very small person. 5 feet & skinny. so even the extrasmall is still slightly too big. But it is hardly noticable.
