Comments about City Select Single Stroller - Onyx:

I bought this stroller as a single a year and a half ago and I have loved it from the beginning. My daughter is now two and a half and we are expecting our second child. I bought this stroller knowing we would add to our family, it is definately worth the investment. I love the versitility and how functional it is. I researched for months before making the purchase and I am more then happy with my decision. I get compliments on it all the time and a few of my girlfriends have traded in thier strollers for a City Select because it is a high quality stroller and efficient. I love that the wheels are durable and will never need to be inflated. The storage basket is wonderful and so accessible. My only compliant is that I wish for the price it came with some accessories such as the parent consule or the belly bar at the very least.

Comments about City Select Single Stroller - Amethyst (2011):

This is an awesome stroller. I read tons of reviews before purchasing...even did a trial run with both kids for a day borrowing a friends double City Select. My hesitaions were a)the price b)that my oldest is nearly 3 and I wanted to make sure she wasn't going to out-grow it in the next few months.

I love that is is not double-wide, easy to push, the ability to go from single to double & vice versa. Also, when my oldest DOES out-grow the 2nd seat Baby Jogger offers the glider board. Huge plus for me. I want to get the most out of my investment! I wish this was my 1st stroller purchase instead of my 4th. I've yet to attach the snack trays so can review that. Also the amethyst color is very pretty. However, if you have plans to re-sell you may want to consider that may considerably reduce your buyer group.

Comments about City Select Single Stroller - Onyx:

Steers better than the Orbit (which we used for 17 months with our eldest daughter). Lightweight and easy to handle. Easy to steer one-handed and a very smooth ride even for my 1 month old. Goes over all the city bumps, potholes and more.

Comments about City Select Single Stroller - Onyx:

We just got our City Select and second seat this week, and I love it. I have two 11-month old girls, and I've had a terrible time trying to find a stroller that would work for us AND would fit in my car (Chevy Aveo) AND go through door-ways, store isles, doctor's office, etc. I've read reviews and watched videos on practically all double strollers, and I was hesitant to buy this stroller due to some iffy reviews, particularly some saying the stroller is only good for small babies, which I do NOT have. I've found it to be perfect for us right now, and I think it will be great in the future as well, not only for my girls when they're toddlers, but if we have another baby.

            Pros:
            * One of the biggest things I was looking for was something that would be compact for use in my car, and that would go through doorways and isles, unlike my double jogger, and not be long as a train like my Graco duo, which also doesn't come close to fitting in my car. This is great because the seats and the wheels come off easily, leaving a compact frame that fits in my trunk. Even just folded with the wheels and one seat on, it's still pretty small and fits easily in our station wagon with room left over. It's as narrow as any single stroller I've seen, so it definitely fits through doors and isles, but I got it to use with the second seat, so the length was my concern. With both seats facing outward, it's just a little bit longer, so I feel comfortable pushing it around stores, and not out of control. With the seats towards me, or facing each other, that puts the front seat out a little further, but it's still not unmanageable.
            * The steering is AMAZING. It is SO easy to push, even on gravel, bumps, etc. and it turns on a dime.
            * I love that it can easily be a single or double stroller, for trips when I take just one baby, so I don't have to use a cheap awful umbrella stroller.
            * The canopies are HUGE. I love that for walks and cold weather, or when one falls asleep, I can almost cover them completely. The peek-a-boo flap is magnetic also, which is nice and quiet. Some reviews from different sites said there wasn't enough head room for bigger kids and even some babies, but the canopy has two different adjustments, which I think would make it quite roomy. My girls have plenty of head room on the shortest canopy setting, and they're in the 90% for weight and height.
            * The basket is HUGE. I have a big diaper bag, and there's plenty of room for it and shopping bags, toys, etc.
            * Love the hand brake. I hate trying to fumble with my foot for a brake and ultimately having to bend down to press it because I couldn't get it, or to have to hit two brakes, then unlock two brakes. And with flip-flops on, I've hurt my toes many times. The hand brake is great, flip it and the stroller is not going anywhere. Then just pull and flip it back to unlock. Great for loading and unloading babies into the car.
            * The seats are very easy to put on and take off, and flip around and adjust. However, I was having trouble grabbing the recline button with the mesh back zipped on, so I took that off so I could get to the recline easier. But with the canopy in the lower position, the mesh is not really exposed, plus it's winter right now, so it's not really a big deal at all. It's also nice that the seats have an adjustable foot rest. I didn't really consider that a feature that was needed, but it's been pretty nice.
            * The stroller is just cute. It looks expensive, and handles like it's expensive, which is very important. I did mix and match my seats, the onyx stroller with the diamond second seat, but it matches well and looks cute. And when I use it as a single stroller, I can use the white or black seat, which is cool.
            * The height adjustments for the straps are clips in the front which is great not having to get behind it to adjust straps.

            CONS:
            * Although the height adjustments for the straps are nice clips, the length of the straps was a little tough to adjust. Hopefully they're just stiff from being new and they will loosen up, but I had a hard time prying them loose to give the straps some slack.
            * For the price, I would have liked to have seen more accessories included with the stroller, like a parent console, even a cheap one, and the belly bars. Although I strongly dislike the double jogger I have, it did come with a parent console, belly bar, tire pump, infant head rest inserts, and a bug net.
            * I was disappointed that my second seat was delivered defective, but Baby Jogger was helpful immediately and shipped a new seat right out.

Overall, I love the stroller and highly recommend it to anyone who wants a quality single stroller, or who needs a great stroller for twins or two young children.

I put this stroller together by myself in 10 minutes and am so pleased with my decision. Was tortured over what stroller to get as my baby was reaching 6 months old and not fitting in his Orbit very well...I saw a family with 3 kids shopping and the mom RAVED about it and I watched a 5 year old jump into one of the seats...was then sold. I take about 100 times more walks now, love the ease of steering with one hand, my son is so comfy and loves it, and it's so easy to use just like the videos show. Especially stopped to change the way the baby faces to avoid wind or sun. LOVE and would buy again!

I wished I had bought this with my first child. I received it today and you really can set it up with no instructions (it's that easy). My first stroller was a Chicco which I loved, but this is by far much easier to fold and no pinched fingers. Highly recommended if your a first time mom and planning on having a second child (it's worth the investment). And by the way no one beats Diapers.com customer and delivery service (other websites that offer u free delivery take more then 5-7 days to deliver).

Comments about City Select Single Stroller - Ruby (2011):

I researched and researched and researched...and researched double strollers and this is the best double out there for versatility and ease of storage. The pieces all come off so you can easily fit it in any car. It's super easy to assemble and move seats around too. The storage is AMAZING! I can fit SO much under it!!

I have a 3 month old and a tall 2 1/2 year old. The toddler has no problem fitting in the seat but with her up front and the baby up top facing me, its VERY heavy and doesn't easily turn. When the baby turns 6 months, I'll put him up front and that should help a lot. I workout with a stroller exercising group and its just not an easy stroller to use on different terrain and up and down curbs. Because I don't run, I decided to go this route and not go for double jogger. I'm still happy with my choice since I'm constantly moving the seats when I'm taking just 1 of the kids....and you can't do that with a double jogger- you're stuck with the huge thing.

My front wheel started moving into the locked position again and again but I just called Baby Jogger and they're sending a new wheel right away- great customer service!!!

The clip to keep it closed isn't very strong, so when traveling, I use a bungee cord to keep it folded. Also, with all the pieces involved, I only gate check the stroller and 1 seat, for fear of the airline losing the other parts...and I wear the baby in a front carrier.

This is my third double stroller...and my last.I have a 21/2 year old and 7 month old who are often called large and they fit comfortably. The seating options are great to adjust to the needs of the day. Having the kids face each other keeps them occupied. Its so easy to move seats around. I love love love this stroller.it Turns easily down isles and unlike side by sides fits through doorways. Reclining seats is smooth for babies who fell asleep sitting up. My first shopping trip with this took forever because people kept stopping me to ask about it. My only complaint is having to buy everything separate but its worth it. There is so much room for all of us....this is the best stroller well worth the cost.

Comments about City Select Single Stroller - Onyx:

I do not typically write many reviews, but this stroller is the best stroller for twins! I even think it to be a great stroller for one or two kids (especially if you have one and plan on a second). My girls (currently 8 months) love that they can face each other, or face forward for trips to the zoo, etc. The stroller seats can each face either direction and this is a feature you'll find in very few strollers.

I wasn't a fan of the Phil and Teds type strollers for the simple fact that the child on bottom would only be able to see the back of the seat of the child in front. The City Select allows both children to see their surroundings...allowing you to talk to your children about what they see!

There are just so many options. There is even a "glider board" available for older kids.

This stroller is a VERY easy fold, but I have yet to find a way to fold the stroller with the second seat attached. I really don't mind this though, as the seat is easily removed and the stroller folds up so quick and easily. It fits in even the smallest trunks (I fit it in a Honda Civic trunk). I don't find the stroller all that heavy either...compared to other double strollers.

The steering is incredible too! I am often steering with one hand. I can even push a small cart in the grocery store while pushing the stroller! It fits easily through aisles...much better than my side-by-side stroller (City Mini Double) which I rarely use. My girls prefer the City Select!!

The cost is very comparable to other decent double strollers and I highly recommend investing in a good stroller...especially with twins!

Comments about City Select Single Stroller - Diamond (2011):

Wow- this stroller has been wonderful and a life saver. We have boys a year apart and this stroller works perfectly for us. It's not nearly as huge as a double stroller, yet it is a double if you want it to be. We used it first with a one year old and a newborn with the infant carrier attachment and the extra double seat. I love the it can break down all the way to a simple little frame. So now, although we use it mainly as a double stroller I can take it apart quickly and get it back together fast. Plus, it's just a wonder single stroller. Great quality and great invention! Again Baby Jogger makes the best strollers! We had the City Mini before... loved it too!

Comments about City Select Single Stroller - Onyx:

As a new mother of 4 month old twin boys, this stroller has been fantastic. Easy to steer, great adjustable handrail (for my 6 ft. 5 husband and 5 ft. 2 babysitter), and compact considering its a double. It is a little heavy but what can you expect from a double stroller thats sturdy and can handle every terrain. Currently using it with the car seat converters for both boys which have also been a life saver. Looking forward to using it with the seats. They could use some work on the parent console so you have something a little sturdier to put your beverage (my boy tends to kick it sometimes). All in all I'm very happy with this stroller after having done a lot of research.

Comments about City Select Single Stroller - Amethyst (2011):

I am in-love with this stroller. I use it with a 7 week old and a 21 month old. I originally bought the car seat converter but I really don't need it. I have found a way to configure the two seats so that my newborn fits just fine. We went on a five mile walk that included pavement, gravel, mud and grass and the stroller was amazing in all of the above. It was so comfortable for me to push the children up and down hills and around sharp curves. While this stroller is expensive it is worth every penny. Easy to collapse/fold and easy to set up. I love it! The best double stroller on the market and trust me I have done extensive research.
