    Comments about Sea Dreams Soother:

We chose this to put on our registry rather than a traditional mobile. As a pediatric nurse, I was thinking more of safety than anything else. As they get older and can sit up and stand up in their crib, you would have to get rid of a mobile (choking hazard, strangulation, etc). This is something that our daughter will always be able to have in her crib and as she gets older she will be able to push the little starfish button to turn it on herself. It comes with a remote that we hooked on her bedroom door, so we can easily turn it on from the door without her knowing we were there (although we don't need that feature now as she is only 2 months old). Even as young as she is, she is starting to explore the world and when we put her in her crib, she turns her head to see the aquarium. Definitely a great addition to the nursery! So far, it's one of her favorites!

      Comments about Sea Dreams Soother:

I am contemplating returning this. When I first took it out of the box, it seemed great and my six-month-old baby was entertained as she sat in my lap and looked at the aquarium.

Come nap time I tried attaching it to the standard-size crib, but the strap was about two inches too short. I managed to attach it somewhat securely to one of the slats just to see if at least this thing would do its job. My baby kept staring at it but would not fall alseep in spite of looking really tired and rubbing her eyes. After one hour my husband put her in her rock-and-play instead and she immediately fell asleep.

Come bedtime, I put my baby in the crib and turned the "soother" on. Even at the lower volume, it was EXTREMELY LOUD to the point that I wanted to throw it out of the window. It had not seem that loud during the day. My baby seemed to be annoyed by it as well. She kept kicking her feet and started crying a little. This is a baby who started sleeping through the night (12-13 hours) starting at about 3 weeks old and who has been going to bed at around 8:30 p.m. every night without any problems ever since. I removed the "soother" immediately and she fell asleep within minutes.

I do not know if I should just keep this and use it as a regular toy during the day, but as a "soother" it has completely failed us.

      Loud

Great idea but it is VERY loud! The motor itself is loud and the music even on the low setting keeps everyone awake. We returned it.

      Love it!!

      Comments about Sea Dreams Soother:

Our little one sleeps with us still but I use it every time we change diapers. The only con to this is it is EXTREMELY loud in my opinion, All I did to fix that was covered part of the speaker with duct tape till it was the volume I wanted (I do this with almost all of my babies noise making toys!!) The coloring was not perfect, but what toy is. I think for its purpose it is great!

        Comments about Sea Dreams Soother:

OMG! I'm obsessed with this soother--it is super cool! I bought it for my 3 month old and only wish I had purchased it sooner! It's amazing! He is absolutely mesmerized with it. If he's fussing or cranky, it immediately calms him down, and he drifts off into lala land! I just have to purchase another one for my 2 1/2 year old, because he wants one of his own. It doesn't fit around the side of the crib (the side rail is very thick), but it sits on the edge or in the crib just fine. They have several reviews on Youtube, but my husband and I both think it is even cooler in person. It takes four C batteries (included) and 2 AAA batteries for the remote control part (not included). LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!
