Cursed this thing every day of our trip!

Comments about Travel Light Crib 2 - BabyBjorn Blue:

I will give this crib 2 stars for being well made, attractive, doubling well as a playpen and being easy to set up/take down. However, it consistently failed at it's most basic task... being a comfortable place for my baby to sleep! I think that the main issue is that it is really deep. My 6 month old is big (28 inches and 21 pounds) and I am average height and strength. I found it almost impossible to get him in there without almost dropping him the last quarter inch which would startle him and lead to the need for another pickup and startling put-down. Rinse, repeat, ad nauseum. Generally he goes down awake and falls asleep again easily after nighttime feedings but I spent HOURS a night trying to get him to get him down. I also suspect that the mattress was colder than what he is used to as it is covered with plastic and on the floor. In any case, as our two week trip wore on the baby started to scream every time I got close to putting him in it. Leading to me spending at least part of every night sleeping with the baby which was not the point of getting this pricey little number. I know that babies sleep poorly away from home and their usual routine but I really feel like this bed made the situation worse. I read all the travel crib reviews before purchasing it and it seemed like the best one. Hopefully it will work better when he is older and does not need to be gently placed in bed.

While this product is more expensive than other pack and plays, this is without question, the easiest to use and the lightest to carry.

pros: clever design, folds up small, good quality, easy to carry, and easy to set up.

cons: bit expensive, and it's really deep! i'm 5'3" and it's hard for me to reach to the bottom to put my baby down. i'm sure it will be better once he can sit and stand. also, folding it up wasn't intuitive, but once i did it once i'll be able to again easily.

Comments about Travel Light Crib 2 - BabyBjorn Blue:

My baby nor I were very pleased with her sleeping in a hard playpen on trips. The mattress in this is very nice and appears to be just the thing.

Also, EASY to set up and take down. I didn't even look at the directions.

Also, so much easier to handle when all packed up than a playpen. Lighter and less cumbersome. Yes, it's expensive but if you travel a good bit YOU NEED IT.

Comments about Travel Light Crib 2 - BabyBjorn Blue:

I purchased this product for our upcoming trip, even though we have a Chicco one which is great but not light and I dreaded the idea of halling it along. The BabyBjorn worked perfect. My little guy (who is a crib jumper) slept soundly in this crib as we moved to multiple locations on our 2 1/2 week adventure. It was so easy to set up and take down. Glad I purchased it.

Comments about Travel Light Crib 2 - BabyBjorn Blue:

We purchased this crib since my son does not sleep well in pack-n-plays. The crib is compact and easy to set-up. It can be a little tricky to disassemble, but once you know the right manuevers, you are OK. We have traveled with this crib via plane and car - finding it to be useful and worth the expense. Definitely a good investment for families who travel frequently.

Comments about Travel Light Crib 2 - BabyBjorn Blue:

I bought this crib when traveling quite a bit to visit family. It is so much lighter and smaller to travel with than other travel cribs. I have had no problem checking it in planes traveling in US. My first daughter slept it in from 5 months to almost 3 years. My second daughter slept in our room for 5 months and when she outgrew the bassinet, moved into this crib. I also use it to take outside when I am with my older daughter and put the baby in it. She loves laying and looking at the sky and trees.

I have given it to friends to borrow and they say their kids slept so good; one fell asleep outside at a hotel pool! The mattress goes close to the floor so you have to bend down to pick up baby but they can use it longer because it is so low.

Comments about Travel Light Crib 2 - BabyBjorn Blue:

We love this crib after baby got used to it. Sets up in minutes and after a long international trip this was key. 10 hours on a plane and baby was ready to sleep comfortably. You can also put blankets diapers etc inside the crib when packing up and use up less luggage space. Totally great for car trips and very light but sturdy. Baby will not tip over. Our little superbaby is pretty strong.

Because it is an odd size, you usually have to check it in separately and when traveling with infant in your lap you don't get extra luggage allowance. The only downside is we had to pack it in a large suitcase for luggage check in and was afraid they would lose luggage. But thankfully not a problem.

We registered for this travel crib after seeing a friend set it up at a party. It is unbelievably quick and easy to set up and take down. I was hesitant becuase of the price but my husband encouraged me to register for it. I am so glad I did. It is easy to carry, it's slim packed shape is easy to put in the trunk and it doesn't take up a lot of room when set up. If you are on the fence about which pack n play to register for, get this one!
