great for walking without stroller. I always keep it in the stroller as well so when the baby is tired of stroller, I still can enjoy walking by putting my baby inside the bag. also great to use in winter because will keep my baby warm.

We use our BabyBjorn carrier with our 4 month old daughter - 16 lbs, loves to see and explore new views, so this is the perfect gadget and favourite at this age. We get to do grocery shopping, dog walking, and even small house chores. Out of every other baby gadget we own, this is the one she enjoys the most. It is very well and strong constructed, easy to use with simple instructions even included inside the carrier, but most important very comfortable for the baby and parent. A must have.

I bought this when I had my first born. I loved the way it looked. That was it. Once I put my daughter in it, I had tremendous shoulder pain after 30 minutes of wearing her in it. I'm 5' and 100 pounds. My sister in law had no issues. My husband said he didn't mind wearing but after I had him try the wrap, he said the wrap felt better. I personally wouldn't buy this ever again. But if you know someone that can loan it to you for two weeks just to try it out, do that. It doesn't work my body frame but might for you. I suggest trying it out first before purchasing one for yourself.

I spent a lot of time researching baby carriers. Everyone raves about the Moby, and I'm sure it's a great wrap, but I am so not a crafty or coordinated person and knew that I would get more frustration than use out of a wrap/carrier like that. I did purchase a Dr. Sears sling, which was completely worthless - basically a sack for the baby and my son hated it. I bought this after researching hip dysplasia and being pretty well convinced that this will not cause it, contrary to what a lot of people will tell you.

It took only one time of putting this on to master the method - so straightforward. It's a structured carrier, so definitely holds the baby firmly. My son always falls asleep in it, and the head restraint can be adjusted looser or tighter as needed. This carrier is an absolutely must for getting housework done, doing grocery shopping, and sometimes just getting him to fall asleep.

My son is currently 12 lbs and 7 weeks. It seems to suit him very well now, size-wise, so I am somewhat concerned about how much use we will actually get out of this as he gets bigger. Overall, a great product, one of my favorite baby buys so far!

Those new to babywearing often purchase a BabyBjorn product as they've been on the market for years. I had one on my registry, but felt that my son was dangling with his legs down and I always put my hand under his bum to give him more of a seat. After joining a babywearing group, I learned how babies and toddlers should be sitting in the same position that you carry them in - legs straddled, knees higher than the tush. The Bjorn seat is too narrow so your child will basically be hanging from its crotch. Also, babies should not be facing outwards for long periods of time. They can not turn their heads away from stimuli such as sun, wind, loud noises, etc. (Your child may seem happy, but it doesn't mean it is good for them!) Back carries allow for the child to be facing forwards with the carrier's back to nestle into if overstimulated, but you can't do them in a Bjorn. Lastly, the Bjorn will hurt your back after a while because all of the weight falls on your shoulders.
Look for carriers with a wide base seat and a waist belt. They are more ergonimcally correct for the baby and the wearer!

Love this carrier. My daughter is 9 months old and has been toted along on our daily dog walks in this carrier since she was about 3 months, with no complaints! It is so easy to put this carrier on and get my daugther into it - far superior to the Moby wrap in this respect. No wrapping or tying or fiddling with it. I also love that she can face me and take a little snooze, or face out and enjoy the walk. WELL worth the money. My only regret with this purchase is not checking out the slightly more expensive models that would include a waist strap for additional support since my munchkin is closing in on 20 lbs.

This works great for newborns and young infants up to weight limit recommended by manufacturer. I bought the ergo with infant insert and hated it. The ergo with infant insert is a pain and more complicated than this. I will use ergo when my daughter is older but this has been great to use with my daughter who is smaller. The baby bijorn is quick and very simple! I love it!

Bought this when I wasn't getting anything done around the house because of baby wanting to be held. Now he goes with me everywhere! He loves the closeness of it and I get to use my hands again. I can do the dishes, fold laundry and vacuum while I am wearing him. A bit pricey but if you actually use it daily it is well worth the money.
