As described by the other reviewers, this hat is sized generously (too meet the one size label?)
My son measured 98%/49" for head circumference in his 12 month check up, and it still fits him loosely though adorably.
Also, the embroidery on ours came in light blue not dark like in the picture.
However, I'm overall satisfied with the purchase since it fits our whale themed birthday party.

I ordered this hat hoping that the company changed the problems with its size but no, this is a terrible hat. It's so big that it could probably fit a 10 year old perfectly. Why does a hat for a 1 year old come in such a huge size?!?! I'm irritated by the lack of common sense by the manufacturer.

This hat was very cute for a 1st birthday, but it does run big as someone else mentioned - even on a baby with a bigger head.

This hat is super cute. It's absolutely giant tho! My son has a big head & I can pinch an inch & half of fabric at the back. I will have to cut/sew it in time for the birthday.

Also, the logo is light blue, not royal blue.
