It is loud and it hardly expressed ANY milk. I had more luck expressing by hand. I am pregnant with my second child, and shopping for a new pump because with my first child this thing was useless.

It is very simple to use and gets the job done. But it's actually kind of loud. Also there is a weird smell to the bottles, that no amount of washing can get rid of ! But hey its a decent price and it does what it's suppose to.

I actually bought this same one from the hospital. I have used it for 2 kids and I've never had a issue! Works awesome, highly recommended!

This pump is horrible. It was fine, when I first started to use it, however, the more I used it the more it started to act up! The suction started to become weaker and weaker the more it was used; until it stopped suctioning altogether and I just get drops of milk out my breasts! It lead to my milk supply to decrease, due to not enough milk coming out! Do yourself a favor and do not buy this pump!

I started using regularly when my daughter was 5 months old and returned to work. Used 2-3 times a day 5 days a week. She is now 8-1/2 months old and the motor died. I just bought the Advant one, and not really a fan of that one either. If you plan on using more than 4 months I would not recommend this one.

This pump does not work for me. Another reviewer mentioned that she gets more with hand expression and that is the same for me as well. I liked that this pump was lightweight and easy to travel with (and especially that it was not attached to the bag) and a closed system. Those are the only good things about it. I barely pump anything at all and it's just frustrating. Unless the bottles are full, the weight of the flange pulls them over (I just spilled an ounce of milk in my lap). It's very awkward to use the base as the two bottles sit so close together. Unless you are using a hands free bra, this design simply does not work. I also needed to get a bigger flange. The bigger flange is a large size with a medium insert. I find that an awful lot of milk gets trapped between the two flanges.

I can only pump one side at a time or else there is not much suction... There goes the dual pump efficiency. The part where the tubing goes into the machine is loose (only after 3 months of usage) so that has further reduced suction. Additionally that loose piece makes it very loud. I basically use one hand to hold the pump and the other hand to push the tubing in to keep machine from being obnoxiously loud. In the hospital I used the Medela professional model. It was big and heavy but worked so well that now with the smaller pump unit, it doesn't seem up to snuff. If your hospital allows you to rent the Medela pro pump, I would say go for it if you're primarily going to be at home. I can't complain too much since for the price of all that you're getting is about how much just an electric single pump would cost.

I used this with my daughter for about 6 months and it's great. It came recommended by the nurses at the hospital where she was born. They even recommended it over the more popular (and expensive) Medela pump. I didn't have a huge milk production, so it took about 15-20 minutes to get enough milk worth storing. I don't understand how people could say that the suction isn't strong enough, I could never turn it up to the highest setting. It was way too powerful.

This thing has been a lifesaver! It is not the most quiet but its not loud either. Its in a good price range when compared to other top breast pumps. It works! It pumps efficiently and it doesn't leak. Its a real benefit. I love the dual action.

I cannot stop saying all the things that I love about this pump. Due to various reasons I have had to pump exclusively. Not only is this pump comfortable, it is easy to use, clean, and very time efficient. I have been using this pump going on 10 months, several times a day, and have no problems with lack of suction or malfunction. I love that unlike the Medala breast pump, this pump has no way that milk can back into the tubing. I had to use the Medala a couple of times and noticed that there was moisture into the tubing which makes me question the products hygiene. The only concern that I have had with this product is that unlike some other brands of breast pumps parts are harder to come by. However, I have no problems with this pump so just be on the safe side and by spare parts when ordering this wonderful pump! You can't go wrong!!! LOVE… love…. LOVE it!

I love, love, love the Ameda Pump! I have had to exclusively use this pump for exporting my breast milk because of various reasons and this pump does the job! I've used this pump for the past 10 months numerous times a day and this pump is performing like I just opened it up from the package. This pump has helped me continue to give my little one the best… breast milk! The doctors always ask if I'm still pumping and always are surprised when I tell them that I'm still at it. I love that this pump you don't have to worry if milk is going to back up through the tubing like the Medela pump. The hospital was not familiar with this brand and was worried that I couldn't establish enough milk flow while there. However, this little pump packed a big punch and by the end of my hospital stay (over a week) the burses wanted to know where you could buy this pump.I have had to use a Medela pump before and would pick the Ameda hands down. I hate that with the medela you have to carry the backpack because the unit is attached to it, but the Ameda pump you can pack it around in what ever casing you want and that the whole until is easy to clean and maintain.The only inconvenience is that Ameda parts are not sold everywhere IF (and that's a big if) something were to go wrong. That's why I decided to buy spare parts, but so far I have not needed any… The pump is great and has been rated one of the top for pumps that are going to be use over and over. Built in Switzerland[...]. II could write on and on about how wonderful this pump is when compared to Medela if you're on the fence you can't go wrong with this one…

I've been using this for just over 3 months now and it's worked great for me. I work full time and it has allowed me to continue to feed my baby breastmilk even when I can't be with her.
