Comments about Kids Sunblock SPF 45, 4 oz:
I have a divided review of this product. It works wonderfully on my infant son but it caused my toddler daughter to break out in a rash, so I will review it based on my experience by child.
Based on my experience with my son, I would recommend this to a friend:
+ Rubs in very easily
+ Has a pleasant smell
+ Provides adequate protection (he hasn't burned yet and I've used it in the FL, TX, and MI sun)
- No negatives from use on my son
Based on my experience with my daughter, I would NOT recommend this for use on a child with sensitive skin:
When I applied this for our day at Disney (same day I applied for the first time on my son), I was happy that it rubbed in so easily, but the next morning when she woke up, she had a red rash on her face and body where I had applied the sunscreen. It took nearly a week for her skin to no longer be rough to the touch. A couple months later, my mom applied this sunscreen to her when I wasn't around (obviously not knowing that it made her have a rash previously) and once again she broke out in a nasty red rash. My daughter has sensitive skin, like I do, so I will be returning to the Earth's Best by Jason Mineral Based Sun Block SPF 30 that has worked well on her for a couple years. (I was looking for a different sunscreen b/c Jason Mineral Based Sun Block SPF 30 is very hard to rub in; my daughter looks like a ghost after applying due to the white haze it leaves on her skin).
