we use this with every diaper change. great especially at night - because it's a protective barrier for wetness. our son is 1 and no diaper rash. highly recommend. it was given to us at our baby shower - and i would highly suggest to any new parent.

I HAVE BEEN USING A&D OINTMENT FOR OVER A YEAR SINCE MY CHILD WAS BORN. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE PRODUCT! I HAVE TRIED OTHERS ON THE MARKET, BUT NONE PROVIDE THE SAME BARRIER OF PROTECTION AND ARE GENTLE AT THE SAME TIME. THERE WERE SEVERAL OCCASIONS WHEN MY DAUGHTER DEVELOPED A RASH BUT ONLY BECAUSE DIAPER WAS LEFT ON TOO LONG OR SITTER HAS MISSED HER DOING #2. FREQUENT WASHING AND THIS A&D CREAM DID THE WORK. IT CLEARED UP THE RASH AND TOOK AWAY REDNESS ALMOST IN ONE APPLICATION. RECOMMEND IT FOR HIGHLY SENSITIVE BABIES!

I use this everynight with my baby to prevent rash when she sleeps throughout the night. Thick lubricant which protects the skin. She has never gotten a rash since birth, she is presently 20 months

I started to use A&D from 2009 when my doughter was born and never had any problem with my baby's skin. Before I used some other product and my baby had diaper rush, then I switched to this product. In 2011 my other girl was born and I still use A&D and even don't want to try any other thing!!!!:))))

I use A&D at every diaper change and my 7 month old has never had a diaper rash. It smells alittle "mediciney" but it's not overpowering . The large tub lasts for 2-3 months, depending how heavy you apply it. I highly recommend it!

I like it well enough but I think I will go back to the Butt Cream or Desitin. It smells kind of like Vicks which makes me worried when I put it on a red bottom although it seems to work just fine. It feels a lot like Vaseline.

New jar shape makes a big difference in terms if how much lotion ends up on your hands. A great improvement

I've been using A & D on baby for 18 mos now and when I ordered this time it showed up in a different package which looks much smaller than the one shown but isn't according to package weight. In addition, product is much "gloopier" and "gooier" than before, not as solid, making it messy and difficult to use out of the tub.
The description does not explain that it's a new package and perhaps different version of the product and this is important to know before you invest in the big size you're stuck with for a while. Usually it's great but I have to toss this tub as it's getting all over the place.

I use this product every time I change my son's diaper. He is 13 1/2 months old and has never had diaper rash as a result. It doesn't take much of the product and the tub of ointment lasts 2 months. It is well worth it to have a smooth baby bottom!!

Use it to prevent/treat diaper rash,moisture kids and my skin as well. Great for showered skin after swimming,protect skin in the winter.

Aquaphor makes a valiant effort but its nothing in comparison to A&D ointment. Personally I grew up with the smell of A&D and I like it but I'll admit that it isnt for everyone. However, its a small sacrifice to make when your child is suffering from itchy rashy excema that just refuses to clear up. For the first time in years I actually got to see my 9 year old with blemish free skin!

I was given some A&D ointment at the hospital to help with diaper rashes and chaffing. This ointment however is thick, greasy and hard to spread. I wouldn't recommend it.
