Comments about Weleda Baby Calendula Diaper Care - 2.8 oz:

I tried many natural / organic diaper creams and ointments over the course of a week and my daughter's diaper rash kept getting worse until her skin was completely raw. I saw improvement the next diaper change after using this one and it has completely cleared up in just two days. Miraculous!

Comments about Weleda Baby Calendula Diaper Care - 2.8 oz:

I've bought all the diaper creams out there, and this is by far the very best. It clears my son's rashes in less than 2 days. It may cost almost twice as much as some of the others, but so worth it when it comes to your babies skin.

Comments about Weleda Baby Calendula Diaper Care - 2.8 oz:

at 18 months old, my daughter had a very bad diaper rash due to switching to a new diaper brand that caused major skin irritation (her first rash ever!). per the pediatrician's advice we had her "air it out" as much as possible. and after reading all the diaper cream reviews on here, we went out and got this weleda cream too. by day #2, her rash was significantly gone. we call this "magic cream" in our house!! the calendula really has healing properties. in combination with airing her bottom out, the rash was gone in a few days.

Where's the flip top cap?
By naturalbabybargainsVerified Reviewer from Princeton, NJ on 9/25/2009
Pros:
Heals rash, Soothes Skin
Cons:
No more flip top cap
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Weleda Baby Calendula Diaper Care - 2.8 oz:

Love it, but I wish they'd bring back the flip top cap as shown in the picture! Needing two hands to open and close the diaper cream does not go well with wriggly babies getting a soiled diaper change.

Comments about Weleda Baby Calendula Diaper Care - 2.8 oz:

This is the best diaper cream. It is not as thick as the drugstore brands so it's easier to wipe off of sensitive rashy skin, but it works better than they do in my opinion. Maybe it's the botanicals that are so soothing, so they need less zinc oxide, I don't know. But it smells good, the tube is a good takealong size, and has no petroleum or anything else questionable. Very satisfied.

Comments about Weleda Baby Calendula Diaper Care - 2.8 oz:

This diaper cream is one of the best I have used. We previously used the Burt's Bees diaper cream which worked great also, but I think I like this one a little better...it doesn't have a strong scent that can be smelled through my son's diaper and clothing like the Burt's Bees one does. Also, My son's pediatrician recommended it, and I am so glad she did!!! When we ran out of our usual diaper cream my son developed a terrible diaper rash. With the advice of my son's pediatrician, I picked up a tube of this and after using this on him for two days the terrible rash he had was gone!!! We will definitely be using this stuff from now on!

Comments about Weleda Baby Calendula Diaper Care - 2.8 oz:

This is a great diaper cream! In fact next to California Baby they are both excellent. This one does not smell as strong as California Baby for those of you who want something with just a light scent. It coats really nicely, hard to describe but gives a great barrier feeling for wetness. No worries about allergy or irritation, this works great on sensitive fair skin!

Comments about Weleda Baby Calendula Diaper Care - 2.8 oz:

My son sometimes breaks out with diaper rash around teething. At first signs of any redness or irritation, I start applying this cream. It prevents it from getting any worse and always clears it up within a couple of days. It is pricey but worth the money because it really works. I save this for use only during rash breakouts and I use another diaper cream for daily use. Only bad thing about this cream is the packaging--they use the old-fashioned metal-like tubes similar to old toothpaste tubes. If you don't squeeze perfectly from the bottom up, the tube cracks and product leaks out.

Comments about Weleda Baby Calendula Diaper Care - 2.8 oz:

My newborn developped diaper rash and we tried almost everything -- Butt Paste, Earth's Best, Avalon, Triple Paste and A&D -- Triple Paste was the suggestion of the pediatrician. It seemed like every couple of days I was buying something else to try with no luck. After 4 weeks, the pediatrician then said it was the diaper wipes -- I was skeptical since we were using Seventh Generation, but I decided to take her advice and just use warm water and wash cloths. That day I bought this cream (at the suggestion of my sister) and we also switched to wash cloths and warm water. The diaper rash cleared up in 3 hours. After one week, I decided to perform an experiment, I used the washcloths and warm water with Triple Paste --the rash came back in 1 day. It wasn't the wipes at all, it was the diaper cream!!! Now we still use the wash cloths and warm water since it seems to work just as well as wipes, but I threw out all of the tubs and tubes of diaper creams we had and bought a tube of Weleda for each diaper bag and the changing station -- I will never use anything else.

I used this product when baby was in her 2nd month to prevent diaper rash, her bottom was becoming a little bit red. The cream simply didn't work, her bottom was becoming even more red while using it. I switched to desitin, worked much better.

Comments about Weleda Baby Calendula Diaper Care - 2.8 oz:

I have tried it all . . . my Little one has had terrible rashes since birth and while we now cloth diaper, that still hasn't stopped it. She just had an awful round of it after a stressful 1st week at Child Care and NOTHING helped. I bought this, and along w/ a prescription for the yeast it helped to soothe the pain, redness and keep the area drier than most. It is a little oilier than most, so it was a bit messy - but I truly could careless . . . as long as it helped heal it was all that mattered to me!

Comments about Weleda Baby Calendula Diaper Care - 2.8 oz:

Cures diaper rash fast. Take it from a pharmacist, everything else out there is the same (desitin, balmex, butt paste, tripple paste). While Weleda also has zinc oxide, the oils in the formulation make it better than everything else on the market.

I love all Weleda products. I'm from Germany and a lot of my friends use Weleda. Many midwives in Germany recommend it. My pediatrician here also recommended it. It is a natural and gentle product without all the chemicals. My daughter is 5 months old and has not have one diaper rush. We use it every day since she has sensitive skin. I can totally recommend it.
