Pads are rough on sore nipples, even with lanolin ointment. They also leak and not just at night when going an extra hour. If you center the pad on your nipple, the pad will absorb from where it's positioned, and below, and then will run down your clothes. This is especially unfortunate if you let down, at all. They will leave you with a wet shirt.

for those reviewers experiencing difficulty with absorbency, you do have to make sure to insert tjem with the absorbent side facing you...I like these better than the pricier brands because they don't leak, provided they are positioned properly and changed as needed

This is too small,my bra is always wet. Dr. brown reusable pad works much better.

These are great to use during the day. Not too good for overnight use if you have one that sleeps long hours. They are very easy to clean and DO NOT leak through like the disposables. Also, cheap and will save you money; however, I do recommend having more than the six that come in one box as you do have to wash the other ones

the medela pads are far thicker than these and also come with a bag to wash them in. i'm throwing these in the trash, and buying another box of the medela pads. these are not absorbent and are far too thin. the fabric they are made of is also harsh.

These are thin, which is good as it doesn't create a lot of bulk in a bra. Better for a light to moderate milk flow. My main complaint is that the circle is on the small side. On larger breasts (mine are DD now) you can see the outline of the pad when you are fully dressed -- better to have a bigger circle that covers more of the breast.

These are better than disposables if you leak alot. I used the disposables and got mastitis from the bacteria, and I did change them regularly. It was probably because they let alot more air through than disposables do. These have never leaked with me although they do get hard when when they get wet and then dry. They are great for people who dont want to spend alot of money and want to help the environment.

I have been using these pads since I had my first child and I love them. I am not that small in the chest area and they fit perfect, you can not notice them under a nursing bra. They also save me sooo much money then buying disposibles all the time (I do keep disposibles in my diaper bag in case of emergancy). They do get alittle uncomforable after their saturated with milk,however they never leaked for me, but just like a disposible your suspose to change them at that point. I would definatlly recommend these!

I think these are great although I couldn't have used them the first few months of breastfeeding. Now that I am more "controlled", I don't need much absorbency. These are thin and pliable...doesn't feel like I'm wearing anything and yet they absorb well. I am, however, small busted and they fit nicely inside my bra. I don't know how well they'd work for someone with a larger chest.

These are terrible! They don't stay in place & absorb nothing. They get hard & stiff after they get wet with milk - very irritating! I'm trying to go green and not buy disposables but the search for good reusables continues...

I wish I had been able to SEE one of these nursing pads in person before buying online--i would NOT have bought two packs of them-wasted money. I was tired of disposables (the papery edges occasionally are itchy or irritate my skin) and I liked the idea of something I can drop in the washing machine and re-use over and over again. (exception-i won't do disposable diapers...don't have time for all the pre-washing on that!) These gerber pads were TINY-even for a small bust, did not absorb much of anything, had no conture shape and therefore were obviously visible under clothing. I'm trying to think of ANYTHING I could possibly use them for since I'm stuck with them now. I didn't even open the second box. How can a company make such a useless product? The concept was good, but their delivery of a product was horrible. Usually I can trust a name like Gerber...but NOT for a reusable nursing pad. I will be looking for some other brand of reusable nursing pad...they are so hard to find in stores these days, so online is about the only purchasing option. Why do local stores only carry disposables? Just wish there was a better description and picture of the product with some type of measurement reference that I could know ahead of time what I'm expecting.

These are too small, not absorbant, and slipped out of place. Mostly unusuable. I bought Dr. Brown's ones instead, which I love!
